Everyone keeps telling me I should put a Radian Ramjet in my EDC Glock 19. What exactly is a Radian Ramjet and is it worth it?
>>65485950You don't have to, but you can if you want. It's a compensator.
But is the glock 26 still relevant in 2026?
>>65485963>less barrel>negligible difference in height>exact same width Yes, I know this is bait/copypasta but for any newfags looking to get a first handgun, just get a Glock 19https://www.handgunhero.com/compare/glock-g26-vs-glock-g19
>>65485971Why do redditors love that inaccurate handgunhero so much?
>>65485972I don't think they do. Handgunhero is a nice resource for fags telling new/prospective gun owners that their commieslop is TOTALLY as good a conceal carry piece as a Glock 19. You know, the fags that make their gun (or in the case of .380, their caliber) their personality?

>>65486114>Tolerate my shitting up of the gen!!!Back to /arg/ with you
Is it really the best gun?
>>65486049Get a 45 with a threaded barrel. Most rounds are subsonic and don't sacrifice ballistic performance to be quiet. Also God's caliber.
>>65486157The 45 is in 9mm though
>>65486049Glock 7A porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't shows up on those airport x-ray machines either, but it costs more than a DC cop makes in a month.
Gun belt recommendations for AIWB EDC?Cobra buckle preferably. Leather IF possible.
Should i try direct thread on my 92 and if it works just stop worrying about it? Or is there another reason to consider using a piston?
>>65486229It's a fixed barrel. No tilting or rotating. Direct thread is fine.
>>65486231A 92 is not a fixed barrel. It moves forward and back. A ppk is a fixed barrel. Its pinned in place. I guess thats whats got me a bit confused. Silencerco's site says not to use their direct thread mount on a "moving barrel" it does not specify what kind of movement.
>>65486232Beretta themselves sell threaded barrels. Depends on the suppressor design entirely desu. Almost all which are meant for pistols come with their booster already.ECCO Machine makes neat ones like the Canine II
>>65486235Yes, Beretta does sell threaded barrels; that does not indicate if you should use a booster or not. I've a specter 9k which does come with the booster but not the piston. You need to buy the piston which is threaded correctly to your pistol. If you use the direct thread mount, you'd remove the piston. So I've got to decide which way to go. I am leaning direct thread, I think you're right but I've just never suppressed a pistol before so thought I'd ask.
>>65486240I haven't had issues shooting my bud's suppressed Beretta, but that's with an Spectre 9 which already does come with a booster device. The main thing with a suppressed Beretta is ensuring the slide goes back into battery; which running without a booster device, might mean toying with recoil spring weights to ensure proper function.
Next thread is #1826These links actually workhttps://pastebin.com/gs6mLNikhttps://files.catbox.moe/9g5sv2.pdf
>>65486269according to Ian you should use a nielson device with beretta 92's so I guess I'm back to buying a piston.
>>65486157>Most rounds are subsonic and don't sacrifice ballistic performance to be quiet.9mm speer gold dots are subsonic, idiot.
>>65486204Kore belts will probably be closest to what you're looking for. My buddy loves his. I personally love my Hanks, and plenty of people seem to love their blue force alphas. For that reason I really think as long as it's a dedicated carry belt designed for CC you can't go wrong.
>>65485950>is it cool? Yeah>is it worth it?Meh>for an EDC?Absolutely not. Some ammo may not run right with a comp. You'd probably need to get new holsters. Extra length. Extra weight. Spending what like $400 on something that makes it harder to carry, and has a marginal impact on performance feels silly. >>65485963I don't think the length of the barrel makes any difference at all for CC, and the difference in grip length between the 19 is substantially less important for concealment for me than the overall width. Plus a 3 finger grip vs the 2 finger grip of the 26 makes a pistol substantially more shootable. Getting a small Glock for CC nowadays, I'd stick with 43 or 43X instead. If you prefer a fat, classic grip, go with a 19. >>65486150Fuck off troll. >>65486204https://a.co/d/0gPyZ8eNNot Cobra, not leather, but it's the best gun belt I've ever used and I've been through a ton.>>65486300If the can is light enough you may not need it, but it almost never hurts to have a booster.

>>65486528nta but what's with the cobra buckle and aiwb? i don't know shit about belts but I want to eventually carry, maybe not aiwb though.

>>65486107>>65485335
>>65486150what the fuck is bore axis?
>>65486430Well now im leaning towarda the piston because silencerco makes a longer one specifically for the beretta 92 because the normal one wont have enough clearance fron the guide rod. If thats the case, the direct thread simply wont fit.
Henlo /k/ is this the hangdong general?
>>65486613What's going to be done about this?
>>65486690Not a goddamn thing
>>65486699Father Figure is going to step up and fix all this
>>65486579They are just bulky, can be noisy, and they add $30 to the overall price of any belt. These buckles are for parachutes you really don't need something like that to hold a pistol up. The worst part is people will make concessions and use the small cobra buckles to try to offset the bulk but this is ugly and it forces them to use thinner webbing in that section (gay). But I get why people want them, I wanted them too.

I've heard mixed things on Hanks lately. I don't really want a polyester reinforced but a 1.5" horsehide double layer would be great. Can't find one exact like that. Heard Beltman is also really good and they have a double layer bullhide that'd probably last me dexades, Kramer seems to be even better at the cost of taking a quarter of a year or more. Anyone bought a Hanks recently? I just want something durable as fuck and right between business casual and working wear. No quadruple stitching or embossing but no cobra buckle or ripcord either. Solid fucking steel buckle etc. Cost isn't even a huge deal breaker either way but probably under $250 max, I just prefer to

>>65487274RIP
So anons, I have a question. If someone wanted to buy bulk ammo, should they just buy all defensive ammo and practice with what they buy for self defense, or should they buy cheap ball to practice with?
>>65487279>>65487289oh no this is awful :(
>>65487296I mean, it depends. The latter would be fine if the recoil is similar enough and if you're just practicing at short range where there won't be significant accuracy differences. The latter would not be fine if the recoil is significantly different or if you're practicing at long ranges where they could differ significantly in terms of accuracy. At the very least, though, you should regularly get SOME practice in with your defense/carry ammo if not simply to confirm that it will reliably go bang without malfunctioning.
>>65487296>>65487306Like, at the very minimum, I'd at least shoot off an entire box from every purchase of my defense/carry ammo to confirm that that batch isn't defective.
>>65487296End of the world? Jungle stack. Car gun got holla points, second mag is all fmj
$500 good for a worn looking USP 45 with one mag? It also comes with a couple promags but those are worthless.
>>65487356Yeah good deal. You could get these LEO trade in special around this price or maybe a bit lower regularly about 10 years ago
>>65487296It's not feasible to solely practice with HST or Gold Dot unless you're a zillionaireJust get like 500 rounds of defensive ammo and practice a mag of it occasionally, and then put the rest of your money into good range ammo. I haven't owned guns for very long and wanted some maintenance advice for my handgunsIs a clp fine or do you generally prefer a separate cleaner and oil? And are they all generally similar quality from the major brands? I wanted something I could buy a gallon of and not worry about for a while. >>65487688I socialize yeah
>>65487595They look like they would not, but also as anon said offset them. You'll probably eventually try other belts- I understand the temptation for a quick buckle but honestly you're going to want to adjust your belt a little a lot of the times you put it on anyway. Your gut is going to expand and contract throughout the day as you eat, drink, piss, shit, sleep etc. My first carry belt was a cobra buckle setup but I haven't used anything with a buckle like that in years. My favorite carry belt for AIWB is a Mastermind Tactics Specialist. Minimal additional bulk going on from the buckle. And for AIWB, unless you're carrying a super heavy gun you honestly don't need *that* much stiffness, or more importantly you need the belt to be vertically stiff but you will benefit from a bit of horizontal flex. Again, a lot of this is personal and you will figure shit out. Just don't give up on AIWB or carrying when your initial few setups aren't comfortable to wear all day- they never are until you figure shit out.
AIWB will always be a sacrifice of comfort when sitting down.

>>65487865In the woods? Or at a range?
>>65487871A range. They don't like you shooting in the woods outside of hunting season and actually shooting at an animal. There are places, but not super close
>>65487761I..I....never mind, guess americans are really strange folk.
>>65487538Yeah I think it's because it's an older model when they were still under L3. My box says it's from 2011 and I think they didn't drop the markings for another year or two after that.

Should I remove the magwell on my gun or leave it. Seems kinda wide.
>>65487876Oh I thought you were referring to in the woods.
Bought a new fun, but I'm in commiefornia where getting a CCW is a huge/expensive/lengthy hassle. Should I get an old duty holster to LARP around the house with, or get a modern IWB holster that I totally won't use just-in-case I'm able to carry outside legally in the future?
>>65488105If you're going to do some sweet larping get a shoulder holster
>>65488105Congrats Anon. Which gun?If I lived in California I would conceal carry everywhere. I don't wanna be bleeding out from getting shot in the head by Basketball-American and my last thoughts are "well at least I didn't break the law!"
>>65487544Probably not. >>65487559My recommendation's similar to others. I'm no expert but a quick wipe down and pass through the bore with Hoppe's #9 gets the lead/grime off, brass bore brush, wipe it off with a clean rag, then a VERY light coat of balistol basically everywhere. Sliding rifle rails get a lil gob of StaPlex red grease. 20k+ rounds this way and I've never been able to attribute a failure to dirt or bad lubrication. >>65487560Bodyguard 2.0 in a Vedder pocket holster. >>65487718Genuinely don't understand this take. >>65488119I would like to carry it, yes. Will magazines have issues inserting if I remove the thing?
>>65488142It won't prevent magazines from being inserted, but it will make it slightly harder to do quickly.
>>65488160Okay, cool. Just wanted to be sure, thanks.
>>65487688The day I picked up my 10mm I walked to the range across the building. There was a dude there shooting his pistol and I approached him asking if he'd ever shot a 10 before. He hadn't, so I invited him to try out a few magazines on me. After that, we exchanged numbers and whenever we get the time, we go shooting together.
>>65487688When I go to the range, I'll strike up a conversation with just about anyone. I've made a lot of friends this way.
Does Holosun make okay handgun lights or should I really at least go harbor freight/streamlight?
>>65486013the glock 26 is one of the best pistelles ever made, anyone who doesn't appreciate it is a retarded faggot who can't shoot and doesn't know about the contemporary handgun landscape.
>>65488237>same width as a Glock 19>slightly less height and length >less capacity I think they're okay but don't ever see why I would own one when I already have a Glock 19. At least the 43x is thinner
>>65488278There's zero reason to own one now. Unless you collect glocks or tinker with them.
>>65488229The issue with them is holster compatiblity. Insane kydex creations makes a holster for basically every handgun light combo in existence but they cost $30 more than most of the competition so are you really saving that much? If they do something you value over a TLR-1HL, TLR-7, or X300 then yeah sure but if it's purely for cost savings then harbor freight has holster compatibility with a lot of TLR-1 holsters and is fairly cheap.
>>65488278The glock 26 can take any double stack glock 9mm mags.

>>65488335I’m looking at their mac chinesium all-in-one model, so I’m basically screed holster wise.>harbor freightAre those fairly decent? I heard they changed the design but I haven’t followed too closely. I typically like x300’s but $239 vs sub $75 seems like a no Brauner.
>>65488531I thought you and the other guy were joking about harbor freight gun light45 dollars, I'll grab one tomorrow to try to if they are open on labor day
>>65488531>Are those fairly decent? I heard they changed the designonly thing they changed was add some texture to the tip of the flashlight and some grooves which lowered the weight a biteverything else is 1:1 compared to the streamlightworks on holsters made for the TLR1 as well
>>65488548(Extremely racist Japanese accent) "Rearry? How is-uh dis-uh regar!?"
>>65488557they were sued already and thats why the design changedthe silver ring was the main reason, it was too similar to the streamlight
>>65488539You and me both. I’ve got a gift card which I’m hoping I can just use via online. There’s no direct road to the store.>>65488548Good to know and for the price, why not? I still have my eye on Holosun for a laser, but the hf would be a good placeholder/backup until then.
>>65487560RM380 usually, the EC9 is a bit too big depending on my pockets.
will glock ever make a an all metal pistol?
>25 new pistols added to the CA gun roster>look inside>it's all shitsigh..
>>65485943I finally went to the range after basically not going for like one and a half years. I didn't shoot that well but I had fun either way and I got to shoot my p226 I converted a while ago.
