Everyone keeps telling me I should put a Radian Ramjet in my EDC Glock 19. What exactly is a Radian Ramjet and is it worth it?
>>

You don't have to, but you can if you want.
It's a compensator.

Yes, I know this is bait/copypasta but for any newfags looking to get a first handgun, just get a Glock 19

>>
>>65485971
Why do redditors love that inaccurate handgunhero so much?
>>
>>65485972
I don't think they do.

Handgunhero is a nice resource for fags telling new/prospective gun owners that their commieslop is TOTALLY as good a conceal carry piece as a Glock 19. You know, the fags that make their gun (or in the case of .380, their caliber) their personality?

Get a 45 with a threaded barrel. Most rounds are subsonic and don't sacrifice ballistic performance to be quiet.

Also God's caliber.
>>
>>65486157
The 45 is in 9mm though
>>

Glock 7
A porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't shows up on those airport x-ray machines either, but it costs more than a DC cop makes in a month.
>>
Gun belt recommendations for AIWB EDC?
Cobra buckle preferably. Leather IF possible.
>>
Should i try direct thread on my 92 and if it works just stop worrying about it? Or is there another reason to consider using a piston?
>>
>>65486229
It's a fixed barrel. No tilting or rotating. Direct thread is fine.
>>
>>65486231
A 92 is not a fixed barrel. It moves forward and back. A ppk is a fixed barrel. Its pinned in place. I guess thats whats got me a bit confused. Silencerco's site says not to use their direct thread mount on a "moving barrel" it does not specify what kind of movement.
>>
>>65486232
Beretta themselves sell threaded barrels. Depends on the suppressor design entirely desu. Almost all which are meant for pistols come with their booster already.
ECCO Machine makes neat ones like the Canine II
>>
>>65486235
Yes, Beretta does sell threaded barrels; that does not indicate if you should use a booster or not. I've a specter 9k which does come with the booster but not the piston. You need to buy the piston which is threaded correctly to your pistol. If you use the direct thread mount, you'd remove the piston. So I've got to decide which way to go. I am leaning direct thread, I think you're right but I've just never suppressed a pistol before so thought I'd ask.
>>
>>65486240
I haven't had issues shooting my bud's suppressed Beretta, but that's with an Spectre 9 which already does come with a booster device.
The main thing with a suppressed Beretta is ensuring the slide goes back into battery; which running without a booster device, might mean toying with recoil spring weights to ensure proper function.
>>

according to Ian you should use a nielson device with beretta 92's so I guess I'm back to buying a piston.
>>
>>65486157
>Most rounds are subsonic and don't sacrifice ballistic performance to be quiet.

9mm speer gold dots are subsonic, idiot.
>>
>>65486204
Kore belts will probably be closest to what you're looking for. My buddy loves his. I personally love my Hanks, and plenty of people seem to love their blue force alphas. For that reason I really think as long as it's a dedicated carry belt designed for CC you can't go wrong.
>>
>>65485950
>is it cool?
Yeah
>is it worth it?
Meh
>for an EDC?
Absolutely not. Some ammo may not run right with a comp. You'd probably need to get new holsters. Extra length. Extra weight. Spending what like $400 on something that makes it harder to carry, and has a marginal impact on performance feels silly.

>>65485963
I don't think the length of the barrel makes any difference at all for CC, and the difference in grip length between the 19 is substantially less important for concealment for me than the overall width. Plus a 3 finger grip vs the 2 finger grip of the 26 makes a pistol substantially more shootable. Getting a small Glock for CC nowadays, I'd stick with 43 or 43X instead. If you prefer a fat, classic grip, go with a 19.

Fuck off troll.

They are just bulky, can be noisy, and they add $30 to the overall price of any belt. These buckles are for parachutes you really don't need something like that to hold a pistol up. The worst part is people will make concessions and use the small cobra buckles to try to offset the bulk but this is ugly and it forces them to use thinner webbing in that section (gay). But I get why people want them, I wanted them too.

I've heard mixed things on Hanks lately. I don't really want a polyester reinforced but a 1.5" horsehide double layer would be great. Can't find one exact like that. Heard Beltman is also really good and they have a double layer bullhide that'd probably last me dexades, Kramer seems to be even better at the cost of taking a quarter of a year or more. Anyone bought a Hanks recently? I just want something durable as fuck and right between business casual and working wear. No quadruple stitching or embossing but no cobra buckle or ripcord either. Solid fucking steel buckle etc. Cost isn't even a huge deal breaker either way but probably under $250 max, I just prefer to

You're human. Humans make mistakes. If you're ever in an actual real-life self defense scenario, the chances of you making a mistake then skyrocket since adrenaline will absolutely fuck your fine hand-eye coordination as well as your thinking/decision making.
You could simply not carry in a way that puts your cock, balls and femoral artery in harm's way when you make a mistake. That's an option. That's the smart option, actually.

So anons, I have a question. If someone wanted to buy bulk ammo, should they just buy all defensive ammo and practice with what they buy for self defense, or should they buy cheap ball to practice with?
>>
>>65487279
>>65487289
oh no this is awful :(
>>
>>65487296
I mean, it depends.
The latter would be fine if the recoil is similar enough and if you're just practicing at short range where there won't be significant accuracy differences.
The latter would not be fine if the recoil is significantly different or if you're practicing at long ranges where they could differ significantly in terms of accuracy.
At the very least, though, you should regularly get SOME practice in with your defense/carry ammo if not simply to confirm that it will reliably go bang without malfunctioning.
>>
>>65487296

Like, at the very minimum, I'd at least shoot off an entire box from every purchase of my defense/carry ammo to confirm that that batch isn't defective.

Is a clp fine or do you generally prefer a separate cleaner and oil? And are they all generally similar quality from the major brands? I wanted something I could buy a gallon of and not worry about for a while. I tried the hoppes and pro shot clp which both seemed ok
Another question is should I use grease for slides (or rifle bolts)? Or is the lubricant from a gun oil or clp sufficient?

They look like they would not, but also as anon said offset them.

You'll probably eventually try other belts- I understand the temptation for a quick buckle but honestly you're going to want to adjust your belt a little a lot of the times you put it on anyway. Your gut is going to expand and contract throughout the day as you eat, drink, piss, shit, sleep etc. My first carry belt was a cobra buckle setup but I haven't used anything with a buckle like that in years.

My favorite carry belt for AIWB is a Mastermind Tactics Specialist. Minimal additional bulk going on from the buckle. And for AIWB, unless you're carrying a super heavy gun you honestly don't need *that* much stiffness, or more importantly you need the belt to be vertically stiff but you will benefit from a bit of horizontal flex.

Again, a lot of this is personal and you will figure shit out. Just don't give up on AIWB or carrying when your initial few setups aren't comfortable to wear all day- they never are until you figure shit out.
>>
AIWB will always be a sacrifice of comfort when sitting down.

Kahr CW380. Tied with the Kel-Tec P3AT and Ruger LCP for being about as small and thin as you can get with 380. But, unlike the Kel-Tec, it has a slide lock lever and a last shot hold open. And, unlike the Ruger, the slide lock lever is actually usable.

Once when I was shooting, there was a couple on the bench next to me. They were both pretty new, so I taught them the basics on how to grip a pistol, how to break the trigger, etc.
The guy then said that he wanted to further “introduce me to his girlfriend,” which I’m pretty sure is code for fucking her in front of him. She was like six foot two, so I got scared and didn’t take him up on it.
>>
>>65487688
I'm friends with a couple of them. I don't know their names but we recognize each other and get along. One of them accidentally said something racist and I didn't react so I could see him thinking "oh thank God" and we've been cool ever since.

Thanks, we'll see how this one works. Honestly it wasn't very expensive and I really liked the look of it, so even if it isn't the last gun belt I ever buy it'll always see some use.
My current non gun belt works fine when I carry a small gun but it definitely sags unless I snug the hell out of it with a bigger one, so 90% of the time it is fine.

My recommendation's similar to others. I'm no expert but a quick wipe down and pass through the bore with Hoppe's #9 gets the lead/grime off, brass bore brush, wipe it off with a clean rag, then a VERY light coat of balistol basically everywhere. Sliding rifle rails get a lil gob of StaPlex red grease. 20k+ rounds this way and I've never been able to attribute a failure to dirt or bad lubrication.

The issue with them is holster compatiblity. Insane kydex creations makes a holster for basically every handgun light combo in existence but they cost $30 more than most of the competition so are you really saving that much? If they do something you value over a TLR-1HL, TLR-7, or X300 then yeah sure but if it's purely for cost savings then harbor freight has holster compatibility with a lot of TLR-1 holsters and is fairly cheap.

Not a single SIG pistol has ever felt good or worth their price to me compared to their competitors such as HK or Glock. They lost the M9 contract for a reason.
Rifles are an entirely separate matter. They historically made good rifles like the SG550 and derivatives.
>>65489041
What Walther Model?
PDP-F?
>>
>>65489041
HK. Walther is welcome but they haven't done anything in like over 5 years.
>>
>>65489041
Vp9a1
>>
>>65489038
>unwarranted prayer
This is why I deviate from soft takes in religion. The proper approach would be to rape him until he’s involuntarily pissing and crying while you recite scripture. Only then do you pray that he recovers.
>>
>>65489041
Walther, but only because of the mag release.

>>65489043
>Not a single SIG pistol has ever felt good or worth their price to me compared to their competitors such as HK or Glock
>Glock
What? To each their own, I suppose.
>>
>>65489043
Undetermined on model. Current production whatever.
>>65489044
Hk hasn’t done anything in over 20.
>>65489046
Vp40?
>>65489048
Button or the classic lever?
>>
>>65489051
Always button.
>>
>>65489051
>Hk hasn’t done anything in over 20.
Dude we got the VP9CC and you're still pretending?
>>
>>65489057
Yeah, we also got the CC9 n' shit, homes.
>>
>>65489056
Preference or is the Walther lever worse?
>>65489057
Vp9 is notable but anything cc9 is cringe. I view its doomed H&k to multiple years of coasting in hopes vp sales keep it afloat.
>>
>>65489062
>anything cc9 is cringe
VP9CC has nothing to do with the CC9, it's a different gun
>>
>>65489062
Yes, preference, but I wouldn't go for the lever for the same reason I wouldn't go for the paddles. It's different, that's all. I would prefer consistency over novelty here - or even slight improvements to speed.
>>
>>65489066
I know. I was talking about the CC9. You must be confusing the two.
>>65489069
Germans… very naughty. Ze like die paddle. Even on their guns.
>>
>>65489072
>You must be confusing the two.
No, the VP9CC is the best micro right now.
>>
NIGGLE ME THIS
VP9CC or the now discontinued VP9SK?
>>
>>65489077
You are asking about a micro and a sub-compact. This is a stupid question.
>>
>>65489079
Walther pp or ppk?
>>
>>65489081
Fuck off
>>
>>65489084
FN Reflex or FN Reflex XL?
>>
Should i hunt a made in italy production if im looking for a 92
>>
>>65489090
Gallatin, TN made Berettas are good. Some of the early production had QC issues, Beretta actually honors their warranty unlike Staccato or SIG so it never became big news
>>
>>65489076
No complaint there. Not sure why you brought up CC9 in the first place.
>>
>>65489090
I’m selling one if you’re interested. Where located roughly?
>>
>>65489087
lol kind of to that anon's point, it's not necessary good to have constant posts. It's sometimes beneficial to let things stew, and not post like its twitter. Or X.
>>
>>65489097
>Staccato
I thought all heros were covered now? Even if they're second-hand heros.
>>
>>65489102
what the fuck is this AI gibberish trying to say?
>>
>>65489102
Ironically enough, I've gotten higher quality discourse from the place formerly known as Twitter regarding guns and body armor. I've met some wonderful people too on there that I felt comfortable sharing my phone number with and now call friends.
>>
>>65489110
I thought I got it on youtube and now oxide is a furry getting fucked in the ass
>>
>>65489090
The order from highest to lowest goes

I hope labor day sales go on for a few more days. My wagie ass gets paid Wednesday.
>>
>>65489136
oxide, youtuber, all the armor and penetration tests, there are videos of him getting fucked in the ass while he dresses up like a furry
>>
>>65489156
Asking for a friend, where are these videos? He really went the extra mile in copying everything the Russians do.
>>
>>65489167
the green thread
>>
>>65489111
>>65489156
Is this the same oxide that used to make really good war thunder videos?

https://youtu.be/OfesENLMSns
>>
>>65489170
Yes. It's him.
>>
>>65489172
KEK I unsubscribed in like 2016 when he started doing airsoft stuff, wild the turns a channel can make.
>>
Noticed /hg/ wasn't being bumped to the top. Did the bump limit change to 300? I could have sworn it was higher before

New bread
>>65489176
>>65489176
>>
>>65489181
>Did the bump limit change to 300? I could have sworn it was higher before
Why would you lie about this?
>>
>>65489190
I remember old threads going into the 400s before a new one was made is all
And /brg/ posting babes after the bump limit and the old thread reaching page 10, before someone made a ruckus to the jannies
>>
>>65489169
Can I get another hint?
>>
>>65489211

>>
>>65489225
It’s early. Lack of coffee. Would a please help?
>>
>>65489229
Are you some redditor?
>>
>>65489237
No, I’m fucking retarded. That’s all.

>>65489256
Damn.
>>
>>65489273
stop acting like a redditor
>>
>>65489097
>>65489124
Thank u

>>65489101
Im not buying one yet just putting it on my future list thanks
>>
>>65488809
Most states only require those under 18 to have taken hunter safety to hunt.
Enjoy your b&

>>
>>65488806
I killed a deer once. Hunting was fun but I haven’t gone back. Now that I live somewhere rural I will probably try again since it’s not a long drive.
>>
>>65488904

The HK CC9 is the best micro 9mm.
>>
>>65491080
I'd rather have a P30SK teebeehaych.
>>
>>65491445
The P30SK is not a micro 9mm.
