Rate my Lee Enfield stock repair. The whole middle section was destroyed due to the previous owner badly attempting (and failing) to remove the screw. I took the remains of the old screw out, repaired the damage with hardwood plugs, and replaced the brass screw with a new slightly bigger one. Got around to loading up the 1822 Springfield I got back in January. This is my first BP muzzle loader and oldest surp. Its just good solid stupid fun to make a bunch of smoke and noise. But holy shit cleaning the fouling afterwords. I'll never complain about cleaning corrosive ammo again.

Got to handle a Lee Navy for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately, it was pretty rough condition wise so I abstained from bidding on it. The follower spring was either broken or missing and the grooves in the bore were pretty rough. It did handle nicely but I hope to find one in better shape to complete the trifecta.

The action is a bit weird compared to the straight pulls I'm used to but relatively smooth. The bolt release definitely is a unique one. Well balanced though and the rear sight being a deep U notch is actually pretty nice. It's a shame it was that rough but it sold for $2400 hammer price.
