had the USSR not imploded in '91 you would've seen the mass procurement of every single project the US Armed Forces cancelled because of the budget cuts, including both in picrel.
This photo was from 2020 at like 6am at Tonapah before the raider’s first official flight.
Love turkish phantoms. Wish they’d gone all the way with that upgrade program. Would have been 85% of F15E for 30% of the cost.
hello I am new to /k/ and wanted to ask a question I looked for the

I think you're underestimating how big of an issue the budget was at the time. I know it seems quaint now but a few billion of debt was once a serious issue with bipartisan efforts to resolve it.
>>65571240>>65570947Good taste doesn't outweigh practical necessities. Otherwise we'd still be flying Electras and Connies. Jets rule the roost for a reason.

kind of makes me sad that fighter jet development had basically almost entirely stopped across the world up until a few years ago
Robbed of the timeline where the MiG-1.44 and Su-47 continued in development. The J-20 just does not scratch the itch.
>post aviation kinook
>>65570703Yf 23 is pure kinoclass art l. So flat and refined.22 looks more conventional F16 like
LOVE me some rollin' coal Soviet aerial shitboxes
Not as bad once they're actually in the air.
So much awesomeness in one photo.
>>65577066RQ-180. The ISR UAV counterpart to the B-21. Built by the same company (NG), with a lineage from the older Sensorcraft program.

Seems a janny took a knife to some of my posts.
