my theory is that dysphoria makes you delusional about how you look, in a negative way at firstbut eventually you see hard proof you're wrong about some aspect of your passability and you know you can't trust it anymore. i think hons look in the mirror and tell themselves it's dysphoria magnifying all their flaws because they noticed dysphoria actually doing that (because it does actually do that)
