A lot of their beliefs come from hyper individualism, the belief that everything is the result of personal responsibility, had a shit life full of violence, you deserved it. Had a privileged life full of opportunity, that's just the result of hard work.These beliefs are quite old at this point, but they help justify extreme inequality
