Does HRT change your inner voice? I'd imagine it could because my inner voice now is def different from when I was a child mostly in terms of capacity for metacognition and voice pitch but I also imagine that as an adult such things are fixed unless someone was also doing things that affect neuroplasticty at the same time but maybe that's unfounded.

>No P Zombies allowed itt
btw! my solipism and crippling inferiority complex makes me superior to you =)

not really

no voice training and time did
i think you have to have a different voice reverberating through your skull to change how your internal monologue sounds

my internal monologue's voice isentirely based on how i sound at any given time. if ive been talking in fagvoice it sounds like my fagvoice

There are drugs and nootropics that promote neurogenesis and neuroplasticity. I wonder if anyone has tried them in conjunction with HRT. (I don't condone or suggest anyone try this)

I tried experimenting with mindfulness and awareness of my inner voice and to my surprise it wasn't too difficult to "think" in a female voice naturally without feeling deliberate and affected.

When I used to abuse a certain over the counter medicine in my youth I was surprised at how my inner voice would change. (ironically I was listening to the song from my OP image when it first happened)

Some of them were disturbing like being a Chav or a obese woman but often times it would just be a female voice similar to my own. The others felt like personas in Jungian sense but the latter felt natural as if my normal voice was the real mask

Without experiencing such things I'd probably still be repping unconsciousily. The mind is weird but some might find what I'm saying tawdry, juvenile and offensive so I hope I caused no offense

>"obese black woman" rather

the mind can be weird sometimes. I basically had my world turned into a happy merchant cartoon for a couple of hours and it was very disturbing/funny
>>
Kinda. Its not my voice tho, femme or masc. It's sounds like a bimbo -3-

Talk about a contradiction
>>

Not really. I was kinda deliberately lowering my voice for masculinity and gravitas, but my inner voice is still the voice I had from pre-puberty.

I kinda like my manvoice as a party trick, but I don't identify it as mine.

my inner monologue now has an annoying fagcent
>>
>>40921465
do you people really have like audible voices in your heads? like i have an internal monologue but its like reading not hearing. theres no tone or inflection just words
>>
OP here, when I finally start HRT I'll also include a cocurrent regimine of legal nootropics associated with cognitive ability around the language centers of the brain and the promotion of neurogenesis/neuroplasticity along with guided mindfulness meditation. I'll use myself as a Guinea Pig and document the results for this board.

If anyone has suggestions I'm open to it. I've never seen anyone talk about how the character of the inner voice itself affects cognition/sense of self. Only that it exists.

drugs are good for you

people also often point out how learning a new language affects the way they see the world and themselves. Some languages seem to handle abstraction better than others while others are better at conveying literal or clinical information. It's a bit creepy to think about how much of who I am is a feedback loop determined by the organ that processes it in the first place while convinced that it's external rather than internal and vice versa if that makes sense

my voice dropped to male range on T and now my internal monologue sounds androgynous instead of a girl but in my dysphoria brainworms iwnbam so its not a male one
>>
>>40921637
it's hard to explain the qualia to someone who doesn't have it. It's not an external voice. It's you, and while it thinks verbally there is also a lot of symbolic, abstract and associative or dissociative stream of consciousness. It's not as simple as a book narration in the 1st person or merely a reaction to stimulus

IME a lot of people who think they aren't NPC's because they have an inner voice are themselves surprisingly incapable of metacogniton or "thinking about thinking" as it were and there are times when a NPC "flow state" is desireable or even more conscious if that makes sense

In the end it really doesn't matter just be yourself

I was literally thinking about lucifer and prometheus when I posted that. Fucking creepy

H...hail Satan?

>>40921465
nah, it still sounds like david attenborough to me

>>40921465
i often notice that my inner voice has no sound but i also find it hard to remember distinct sounds of voices (i always get suprised by hearing people laugh for example)
>>40921549
>There are drugs and nootropics that promote neurogenesis and neuroplasticity.
i was also curious about these but most nootropics i tried didnt really do much. maybe someone should compile a list of a bunch of them and document their effects
>>
>>40921465
it didn't and i'm not sure hrt specifically could
if i socially transitioned and voice trained i imagine it would change but i'm a nonpassoid manmoder and wnbaw so it's not changing anytime soon

My internal monologue never changed from when I was a kid. I still sound like an androgynous ten year old's voice. My voice used to sound exactly the same as my older sister's, at one point, but now neither of us sound like that anymore.
>>
>>40922354
>I still sound like an androgynous ten year old's voice
I mean that, in my head, it still sounds like I have an androgynous ten-year-old's voice, like my physical voice used to sound when I was a kid. My voice IRL has obviously changed since then, but my internal monologue didn't keep up.
>>
>>40921637
to me thinking feels like speaking. You dont really think about the sound of your voice but you can feel the words come out of your mouth and in the tone you would say them.
i also say my thoughts out loud when im alone so maybe that is why
