when is it a good time/at the point it makes sense to give up on someone with BPD?

The girl I've been talking to seems really lukewarm. so I'm getting the impression more she's not interested and not that she's pushing me away or needs me to stick around even.

So I kinda wanna make a clean cut so that I don't feel mixed up but I'm sorta worried it'd be a mistake if im miss judging how she's acting. Is it normal for BPD people to just vanish a few times a week and then apologize or am I just fooling myself with their interest
