Listen up
Much of these "conservative" people are brainwormed by specific words
They see the word "equality" or "rights" and they immediately react in disgust because they associate it with left-wingers
But the word "freedom" is okay because, in their mind, that's THEIR word, even though it means the same thing as those other ones.
Think about it.

Instead of marriage equality, let's say freedom of marriage.
Instead of trans rights, trans freedom.
These terms would be semantically correct, anyway, with the added bonus of mindbreaking haters.
>>
You need to think more creatively--
both positive word association but also centering inoffensive concepts and de centering icky, sexual concepts.

Freedom of medical privacy
Freedom to parent
Freedom of access to the medical free market
Etc.

Or you could stop forcing yourself into women's spaces.

>They see the word "equality" or "rights" and they immediately react in disgust because they associate it with left-wingers
No they don't.
They see the full context and see that it is giving additional support to particular groups.
Anything more than Human Rights isn't Equality.
It is Equity.

>freeze frame
>pan out to me pointing at the screen on the tv
this is known as libertarianism
>cut to rural appalachia
it does not work rhetorically
>>
what trans freedoms don't you have, sweaty?

Their minds don’t even have enough depth for semantics to matter.

Transexual seems to be friendlier to them for some reason, sounds more exotic and medically than "transGENDER" which sounds all woke.

Also insisting on pronouns gets to them for some reason, they have a hangup on the chromosomes thing so I get "you could just make yourself look like a girl without being one" which is asinine as a suggestion but its also exactly what this is technically, so I think there is a compromise there waiting to happen.

I used to be a lolbertarian, an anarchy-capitalist even.
I have seen what they did to New Hampshire. Cut a lolbert and a rightslug bleeds.

Really most of these people don't have a problem with trannies even if they don't know that, they are just part of the tribe that likes certain words and doesn't others. MAYBE they feel like they want everyone to be "normal" again in which case it needs to be made clear that trannies are a funny and uncommon exception that can be very supportive of a "normal" society.

People who genuinely hate trannies also exist but because of the way media works most of these people are just in it for the 24/7 spectacle that is modern politics.
>>
>>40959366
It's because trying to control other people's speech is an infringement of *their* freedoms.
You could try saying "please call me this" instead of "you will call me this", and see how that goes.
>>
>>40958473
Guess what, then they'd start saying "freedom is woke". They already pretty much think that already.
>>
>>40959419
Yeah it really is that stupid, I get "why can't you be a femboy faggot" a lot which is just... ok so they sympathise with the desire to be feminine and even think maybe it could be fun, JUST DON'T YOU EVER CALL YOURSELF A GIRL BECAUSE THAT WOULD MAKE YOU A DEMOCRAT.
>>
>>40959433
I don't think it's stupid. I think it's a legitimate concern. People don't want to slip into some eventuality where they lose their job, or the government throws them in prison or takes their kids, because they didn't follow the speech code.
People want to have the choice to be courteous, not to feel a sword hanging over their heads.
>>
>>40958473
>we just want freedom to gay marry
Already been done, literally the top of the slippery slope that led here
>freedom to call kids eggs and try to troon them
Yeah nah that's not gonna work
>>
>>40959499
Was anyone actually being fired over that? I think its just a matter of being polite.
>>
frogs cant swim when thrown
>>
>>40959680
People don't like the implication they can be fired over that
>>40958473
OP, people don't like "trans rights" because trans people already share every single right everyone else has, including protections from discrimination, other than in the military. trans rights tends to mean free elective surgeries which people are pissed about because even necessary surgeries aren't covered in America for regular people
