any cis boys share this experience? i was female socialized in highschool until I became self-aware of how gay I was perceived. My flamboyancy was just cope for insecurity surrounding my masculinity. I just realized how jarring/unnatural/annoying it is to watch grown ass men with dick and balls acting like sassy queens. I think most gay men are faking it. Some men are genuinely flamboyant but a majority of ""gay"" men are doing it because they're insecure and essentially give up the man role. But on the flip side a lot of straight men are essentially doing a drag performance as a "hetero" man and are a lot more gay then they come across. They do gay shit and put on gay voice as a joke but that is actually a real part of their personality that they are suppressing. I predict that the amount of men that are truly cis/straight is extremely small. Performing gender as a man is more mentally taxing and soul-crushing than the woman role which is why there are more mtf / flamboyant gays than ftm / butch women.
