I think that the "people who menstruate" and "tampons in men's washrooms" activism has inadvertently misled cis people into believing trans men have periods on T?

Tampons should be in men's washrooms not for the sake of trans men but because cis people often use the opposite washroom in an emergency, especially cis women on their periods. Most people using tampons in men's rooms are cis women. The rhetoric around it, however, may be feeding a misconception that trans men experience periods in the same way that cis women do, when most don't have periods at all. You actually have to clarify to cis women that you haven't had your period in 7 years or something.

It seems that trans women's periods are more common knowledge than trans men's lack of periods.
>>
>>40987939
Trans women don’t have periods either, there’s no mechanism that could cause them.
>>
>>40987954
They cycle hormones.
>>
>>40987939
>cis people dont understand trans people
literally who cares. also not all trannies are on hormones
>>
>>40987967
Except that no form of HRT causes the kind of cycle that would induce period symptoms.
>>
>>40987939
>trans women's periods
we probably need a better word for this and to actually try to study it objectively because at most it's only one small part of what a period is
>>
>>40987967
unless you're seriously fucking something up there should be no circumstances under which mtfs experience period-like symptoms. most mtfs' entire hormone cycles begin and end on a weekly or biweekly basis at most.
i think there's an ester out there you can inject on a monthly basis but i'm pretty sure that's only possible because of how stable its resultant levels are, ie no dramatic spikes or troughs
>>
>>40987990
See >>40987994
Trans women experience some cyclical hormonal effects
>>
>>40987994
transphobe here
keep it up! claiming delusional AGP men can have periods is a great way to get the public to hate you people even more than they do already!
>>
>>40987939
yes it has but "non-binary non-hrt transmascs" are more common so they win
as for tampons i don't understand why they need to be in men's bathrooms since we don't even have them in women's bathrooms

as for the trans women issue it is a known fact that trans women can have female pattern pituitary action and that trans men stop having female pattern pituitary action although it is less clear what gross effect this has on the body
>>
>>40988070
repeating things like a dogma doesn't make them true, otherwise trans rights would be human rights already
>>
>>40987967
And? Menstruation involves shedding of the uterus. Getting the shits isn't a period.
>>
>>40987990
>>40987954
the pituitary gland doesn't care even if you're 100% consistent with your dosing
>>
>>40987939
its either the pre-T people usually teenagers talking about still getting their period, or people microdosing (lol) or people who are very unlucky and havent lost their period. I lost mine immediately after starting T and i find it annoying when its implied most trans men have periods
>>
>>40987939

dood, what kinda gigapoondose they got you on?

as an mtf unbeliever in the transfem period, what is the mechanism for this, legitimately, like what would cause the pituitary gland to do this (yes i know the answer is hormones but like what, actually, is going on there) and how do its symptoms manifest
bc i thought this board would completely reject the notion of such a thing and i figure this means i am probably ignorant
i have never, to my knowledge, in all my five years of hormones and four on high-dose injections, experienced anything like what i would describe as a period, granted my mother has always had a very weak period and that may be related
>>
>>40988264
read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharmacodynamics_of_estradiol#Progonadotropic_effects and follow the citations or do additional research
my guess is between individual variation and differences in hormone/dose which causes severe difference in downstream effects because what this comes down to (what's measured and citable) is simply that the pituitary might release gonadotropin in a woman where it wouldn't in a man and it's a lot less clear what that means
(in a cis woman with functioning ovaries it means more estrogen but if you have functioning testicles it would mean more testosterone (but are they functioning if bathed in the estrogen you just injected?) and if you have neither, well, what does it do directly?)
even in the cis context there's a lot of mystery in this stuff
>>
>>40988264
we literally don't even know how it works 100% for cis women, but the rest of the body responds to sex hormones (exogenous or otherwise) so why wouldn't the thing responsible for controlling the hormonal cycles that men and women both go through?
>>
>>40987939
it seems like a waste to put tampons in the men’s room on the off chance someone panics and runs in there
>>
>>40988403
it does to me too
i once overheard some normies discussing the matter and they came to the conclusion that (a) that's what the tampons were for and (b) it probably isn't that useful
>>
>>40988403
>>40988422
it's such a small thing to do and you don't have to replace them if they don't get used or anything

They will get used though.
The machines are easy to break into and they are good for throwing at other people.

Dunno, but not many females grin like a Cheshire cat when they have a period.

Looking at this image again I’m now convinced it’s a cis male teenager trolling.
>>

Pretending mtfs have a period is something that is just going to universally and instantly peak trans every single woman that hears it that isn’t like fifteen years old.
No you do not have a “period” or a “cycle” or “hormonal fluctuations like a period”. No. No. That’s fucking insane. Like it is an actual delusional, psychotic thing to believe. It’s like saying shoulder blades are wings and talking about flapping your wings. It’s pure crazy pills and makes you seem psychotic every single time.
>>
>>40988446
It’s gas pains. Legit.
>>
>>40988045
Everything has spikes and troughs you fucking retard
>>
>>40990704
The only women i've seen screech this much over the concept almost always turned out to be one of these all-natural "birth control is evil and demonic" faggots
Coincidence? I think not.
>>
>>40990851
I’m not even a woman I’m just not fucking insane.
This is really one of those things that will make the rubber band snap back every time. You just need to accept that your brain is telling you something that isn’t true to make you feel better about your disorder. And stop saying psychotic shit to normal people that destroy the illusion that you aren’t crazy.
>>

Nta but

>>
>>40988340
if a cis woman had a full hysto, and then went on estrogen (due to lack of sex hormones) would she get period symptoms? no
>>
>>40992238
depends, it could happen
women who get a hysto but keep their ovaries (AKA hormone cycles present) experience a cycle, and might even experience cramps in the part of the body where the uterus was, a lot of women on health forums post-hysto report that happening
>>
>>40992245
Getting phantom pain is something many amputees go through. Its very different than imagining a new symptoms that never were there. Body remembers old pain.
>>
>>40992780
cramps are quite different from pain my frien
they're physical contraction of muscles
maybe if you actually talked to women and had them as friends you'd know that
>>
>>40987967
lol, lmao even
>>
>>40992795
I have periods and its def pain that I feel.
