Thread for elder zoomers, millennials, and the rare gen xer lurking on the board. Children 24 and under need not apply.QOTT: What was the first time that you didn't "get" a new trend?
>qottplanking
5 more years till my wizardry lessons begin. My lifetime dedication involuntary voluntary celibacy will pay off.
>>41011672>QOTTMost Vine trends back when Vine was a thing. Nowadays I'm having an even harder time keeping up
>>41011717just let it go, it gets weirder every year.
>>41011672What are the odds I find someone 40+ on here I want banter with someone with less cartilage than me
>>41011672>QOTT: What was the first time that you didn't "get" a new trend?I'm not 24 yet, but I think the first new trend that stumped me was all the new skibidi rizz shit.
>>41011672>QOTT: What was the first time that you didn't "get" a new trend?I still don't get what half of the zoomer terms mean like bricked up. im too scared to use them and maybe use them wrong
>>41011808This is why no one likes you children. You can't fucking read
>>41011813Bricked up isn't even zoomer slang. It's black slang that they steal and run into the ground. It just means getting an erection
>>41011829>Bricked up isn't even zoomer slang. It's black slang that they steal and run into the ground.thats all zoomer slang anon, hell its been that way for like at least the past decade
>>41011784>less cartilage???Like nasal cartilage? Anyway, 40+ checking in
>>41011784>>41011923I'm old too. I think the cartilage refers to cartilage loss in joints.
Harlem shake and vine in general
>>41011784I’m exactly 40. What do you want to chat about?
>>41011672QottTiktok dances for everything, filming, and posting it.Car crash? Dance in front of the wreckParent dies? Dance at the wake in front of open casket Get mugged and butt fucked? Dance in hospital gown Like I'm an attention whore too but this is something else
I just really need a 30 year old trans woman to date with the intention of marriage
>>41012207asl?
>>41011923Cartilage in your joints as your body wears down over time. Thanks for checking in! Is it hard to stay emotionally invested in people over time? I used to think I would die without some loved ones now I would only feel grateful I once had them at all. I don't know if that's maturity or becoming emotionally closed off>>41012097You're exactly correct thank you for understanding my nonsense at once! Do you feel like your concept of what it means to have a good quality of life has changed a lot with age?>>41012122That's hilarious congrats on meeting the cut off exactly. I like hearing about people's internal narratives especially when they're different than me in some way I can't change like age or culture or sexuality so I want to absorb their unique life experience's for myself. I don't want to feel like the world is limited to only what I personally understand
>>41011672QOTT: I never really felt this way cause I always date 18-20 year olds and usually break up by the time they are 21
>>4101221430 m socal
>>41011672hey, I'm pretty old, maybe the oldest, ask me anything and get no answers tbqh
>>41012226discord?
>>41012217>concept of what it means to have a good quality of lifeat this point I just want stability and tge state of the world makes me anxious. I never felt things were stable enough to commit to buying a home. so now I just live for my husband, good food, and pot. what's your perspective?
39 almost 40 hi hi and based off the way selfies are treated on here cya in a few days.
>>41012384Jesus, you never heard of conditioner?
>>41011829>stealing from niggerssounds like they understand the culture pretty well
>>41012393i do condition it this is just what happens after 2 days :( i'm not totally white.
>>41012403Bro you can't be this old and still think the same old tired racism is cool
>>41012407After two days of what
>>41011672killing myself by 25am 23 btw, getting older than 21 really has all been downhill and 23 has felt like a real fuckin sad age to be im not even truly young anymore
>>41012445no one asked, go away
>>41012444no washing or conditioning i tie it up in the shower usually and only wash/condition every 4ish.
>>41012280I think stability is admirable and necessary for any meaningful long term happiness but in my mind I'd be thriving instead of just simply living if I had the circumstances to work on long term creative projects at will. I don't have the space or time to keep my guitar or my paints with me so my life is doing what needs to get done and spending my free moments thinking about all the skills I don't have that I'd one day want to pursue because interacting with my hobbies makes me feel like a complete person instead of some wishy washy fraud. It feels good when I'm good at things. Food and husband is a necessity of courseIf you can afford a house I think you should go for it, own the land no hoa and make it your own world
>>41012270radrevenant_12296although if you add me now, I won't be able to get to you until tomorrow
>>41012384You're pretty
>>41012463
>>41012447okay
>>41012445When I turned 26 I honestly thought my life was already over, it was a constant struggle against depression, I never gave up, I resumed exercising, starting eating well, sleeping more, stopped smoking and drinking, and now 10 years later I feel great, I'll never be young again but I won't age badly.
>>41012450I guess you live in a cold area, I can go for two days at most without washing my hair. You look cute btw.
>>4101167230m, Indonesia here i'd to talk to 40+ men here :)
>>41012552Hey everyone 40+ is already my property I already claimed them. That one guy is married don't be a homewrecker
>>41012217>I like hearing about people's internal narratives especially when they're different than me in some way I can't change like age or culture or sexuality so I want to absorb their unique life experience's for myself.Another psychopomp in training, eh? It’s not something I could convey quickly or easily, but I do understand the impulse.
>>41012407Nta. Do you use any gel when it’s wet?
>>41012631no i just dry it about 70-80% and let it finish in the air, its probably caused by my hair dryer.
>>41012384qt
>>41012384finally someone not that much younger than me, you have a pretty smile tbqh
>>41012591I love that term thanks for sharing it with me! I know that one day I will die and don't believe in an afterlife, so whatever impulses people have towards another life or reincarnation I satisfy now with my connections to other people. I'm usually other people's shoulder to cry on or ride or die and I'd rather live like a friendly ghost propping up others than reflect on myself because I already spent my own life with me already
>>41012641Gel when it’s damp will help it not frizz as much, if that’s ever needed (I know mine gets extra big in humidity). It also helps protect it from the blow dryer. The Pantene ones for curls are fine and pretty cheap. If you use it, your hair will be kind of crunchy once it dries, just scrunch it with your hands (ideally hand wrapped in a t shirt, but bare hands is fine too) and the cast will break.
>>41012743ty i'll try it. i don't usually mind the frizz but sometimes it is a bit much lol
>>41012455>long term creative projectsthat's a nice thing to focus on. most of the things I'd like to do require a garage or land. I live in a shoebox rn so I had to abandon my hobbies.
>>41012843ME TOO. A little workshop or an office I can have things set up and ready would be my modern day I wish I could fly. Land owning is the dream I hold in my heart now. Want a nice place to die
>>4101167225. I don't get AI for work. Seems to defeat the purpose of work. Also inshallah I will get into grad school
>>41011672Snapchat was just completely abhorrent of an idea to a dude that's been on the internet since 1996.
>>41013158I use AI for entertainment, but I simply cannot understand people who use it to think for them
I will be 28 soon. Not quite a zoomer, not quite a millennial... What am I?>>41011672>QOTT: What was the first time that you didn't "get" a new trend?I still don't understand the "skibidi" thing at all and I don't want to either.
>>41013158I've used it once to write a database query in some undocumented internal querying language that I would've been able to write in SQL. That was pretty neat.>t. 36

>>41011672>QOTTProbably some of the "lawl rawr XD Im a dinosaur lolololol penguinzzz are so random" stuff my friends did when I was a preteen. Like, sure, there were trends I didnt care for when I was younger (like high school musical) but my friends weren't doing that right next to me when we were hanging out in public>>41012230What should I have for dinner tonight?>>41015306idk anon I'm 2-3 years older and I think of mid 90s to 00 as the bionicle generation, as retarded as that is
I am 29 years old. For a cis man on estrogen, my life is pretty good. I have a loving tgirl wife, a beautiful home, a high-paying career, engaging interests, supportive family. What more could a dude pushing 30 ask for? Winning the lottery maybe LOL just kidding I already won one when I met my wife :D
I just don’t get this Banksy art
>>41011697I was only hitting 30 at that time, and that made me feel like I was ready for the retirement homeAm I the oldest tranner here? I'm 44

I'm about to turn 30, how to cope with twink death?
>>41013158It's useful for parsing datasheets and documentation. Also a good replacement for/addition to Stack Overflow.Glad I'm done with the whole 'work' thing in general though.>>41015910>think of mid 90s to 00 as the bionicle generation, as retarded as that isI thought bionicles were so cool back then. Also beyblade before that. Oh, and Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh was probably my favorite and I should've never gotten rid of my cards.
>>41015306>What am I?“Zillenials” has been adopted recently, I like it better than “Cuspers”.>SkibidiI think it’s sort of like if every child was quoting the the same gmod ytp.>>41016855Tretinoin, sunscreen, DHT blocker, fillers, stay fit.

>>41017106man, Im sorry to heard about your cards anon. My mom wouldnt let me buy any so I had to live vicariously through my friend's collection instead. never got to have many bionicles of my own either but I got to build and play with my brothers a lot. I thought Makuta and those rahkshi things were so so cool>beybladeaw yeah that was fun. our school had to ban the metal ones because we kept firing them at each others arms kek

37 year old bianon here. Currently going back to school to finish my degree and everyone in my classes is a child. I continuously get mathmogged by 17 year old girls. I hate it.Any other ancientfags here in school? It's kind of fun actually being the old man in class.
I'm 29, before I met my now-husband 10 years ago I thought I was straight. I love him more than life itself.>QOTTThe john cena meme, do you remember that? I thought it was unfunny as fuck
