In the book of Exodus, the Pharaoh of Egypt enslaves the Jews. Moses beseeches the Pharaoh to let the Jews be free - but he ignores their pleas, even after 9 plagues, until the 10th - the slaughter of the first-born son of every Egyptian family. Only after that were the Jews freed. Those spreading tribalist hate and oppression will never cease until they feel the fire in their own personal lives.
