how do I figure out skincare stuff as a tranny ? I have no idea where to start please share any recommendations you have
>>
You could get lucky and be a light cleanser and non comedogenic moisturizer person or you could be a 12 step skincare routine person.

Its highly specific to each person and can take years to find whats right for you since having nice skin is a combination of a genetics, diet, environment and hormone balance

Do you have any specific concerns?

I spend a lot of time outside for my job so I think finding a good sunscreen is probably the most important thing for me. and ig I should probably be using some kind of daily moisturizer?

If you're not doing it already, you should definitely exfoliate + moisturize + apply sunscreen at least daily.
I use foam cleanser with a scrubbing sponge for the first step and do this whole routine twice a day.
Beyond that I'd suggest that you look up some blog posts or YouTube videos on skincare. Stuff like retinol, masks, etc. can be a real rabbit hole.

omg that's the cutest picture i've seen maybe ever :3333

idk about u but after i got on hrt my skin has been virtually perfect all on it's own so all i do is wear sunscreen and a basic skin cream so i probably cant help if you have like acne or smth

Although it might admittedly be over the top, I find that skin care is one of those ritualistic things for me. It's less about seeing tangible results with every step added and more about the reassuring feeling that you're taking meticulous care of yourself.

its counterproductive
>>
>>41015401
why?
>>
>>41015409
the point of exfoliating is to remove stale dead skin, at some point youre just scrubbing healthy skin for no reason and it causes irritation
>>
>>41015431
Would apply if my skin wasn't in hyper-replenishment-mode 24/7

as very basics every morning and night
>Cleanser
>Moisturizer / sunscreen

work in or look at
>niacinimide
>vitamin C
>salycylic / glycolic acid exfoliants
>retinol or tret on the high end
>microneedling treatments if you have scarring or blemishes that won't fade
>collagen supplements

and important note, whatever you do to your face also do to your neck. don't just stop at your chin

i dont know what that means exactly but maybe it would be more normal if you didnt do what you do?
>>

Have tried that, doesn't work.
My facial skin is just very active and sensitive, I can see gunk build up and pores becoming visible as the hours pass. Also i dont scrub it like a madman of course, just very light circular motions to get all product residue and other stuff off to have a clean slate for re-application.
Doesn't mean it works this way for everyone of course (and I never said that). As with all things you should experiment and A/B compare different routines.

i would maybe avoid exfoliating daily as it can hurt your skin if done too often, do it a few times or once a week. depends on what you use, if you use a gentle washcloth it could be fine. I would also avoid getting into the 10 product korean skincare routine bullshit thats popular online, if you have no skin issues or acne all you really need is a good cleanser and some decent spf daily use facial lotion.

cleanser + moisturizer + sunscreen (all appropriate for your skin type; dry/oily? sensitive?) is the basic bare bones minimum. after that, your interventions should address existing concerns like closed comedones, acne, dullness, etc. but you'll probably want an exfoliator next.
tretinoin is a holy grail product IME.

this, honestly ime adding more shit than those three is a recipe for just making shit worse and making my skin break out
