nona a few weeks ago told me long nails would suit my fingers so i am trying really hard to let them grow out. it's been difficult keeping from putting them between my teeth and all the other damaging things i do but i am proud for having made it at least this far
someday they will be pretty

u should use nail polish remover those residual stains look weird. and also maybe cut the sides of ur nails so its more rounded along the length instead of just straight out

lol NO i hadn't. i don't think i will but thank you for the suggestion
i've also tried the yucky stuff and i used to paint them; the taste of the former didn't stop me from biting and while the polish usually did, it didn't stop me from bending or squishing or wedging my teeth or whatever else under them and weakening the nails so much that they broke anyways. this is sheer willpower right now (even though i am still doing that stuff.........i'm just doing it less...hopeful to stop forever eventually)
