Why is it so hard for trans folk to admit that sex is binary and gender is derived from sex?
Because they hate the hard limits biology imposes. They rage against the machine.
>>41021467Real answer: bad ontology. They know what it is to be trans, but they can't put it into words, so they mangle definitions until it feels better.
>>41021552>they can't put it into words, so they mangle definitions until it feels better.Reminds me of Christians preferring to use ‘miracle’ over ‘magic’ even when they are literally the same thing.
>>41021574It's a protected designation of origin. It's only a miracle if it's from the Divinity region of Ontology, otherwise it's magic.
>>41021667Most magic in history was from external intelligences, like the gods. To say magic and miracles aren’t the same is admitting it’s all about brands. “Not MY brand”. The wizards of Egypt that Moses faced were just priests of their own respective deities. That’s the irony of it. The gods are just sponsors.
>>41021574>>41021667>>41021802“It’s not magic, it’s a miracle” is another way of saying “it’s not magic, it’s magick!”, or “it’s not magic, it’s nature!”, “well, if you don’t consider nature to be magical then you don’t truly appreciate nature, do you?”, etc.
>>41021807Science is legitimately indistinguishable from wizardry. It’s just shaped differently.
Trannies r stupid
cais look male
>>41021552Why do they do this? Why are they like this?
>>41025204coming from the side that acts like this ?>>41024277
>>41021467there are multiple facets of biological sex though so which one are you saying gender should be derived from if it’s chromosomes then you immediately hit cases like complete androgen insensitivity where someone is XY but develops fully female phenotypically and lives that way if it’s gonads plenty of people don’t develop the “expected” set or they’re ambiguous if it’s hormones those ranges overlap a lot and don’t map neatly if it’s external phenotype that just admits gender is socially read off appearance not some hidden biology the only thing that’s binary in theory is gamete type but even there you have people who produce neither functional eggs nor sperm so it’s not universal and it doesn’t really function as a lived reference point for identity in daily life so the whole “gender derives cleanly from sex” line falls apart once you look at how messy sex actually is
>>41021552are you pretending to be obtuse?that's not what "ontology" is. That would be alexythymia or a lack of ability to describe own thoughts, both common in neurodivergencyreal r/atheism stuff
>>41025247Gender = appearance is actually a very good solution, it's how it has always worked in practice anyway
>>41025256I can get behind this cause I'm a passoid but I'm still legally male
>>41021467>Why is it so hard for trans folk to admit that sex is binary and gender is derived from sex?i as a tranny admits this. I still take my cross sex hormone so I don't feel sad :)
>>41025256all trans women appear male in 3d
People don't even do transphobia right these days. Instead of making uninformed takes, you should be arguing against transgenderism from a moral and ethical standpoint.
>>41025256Gender is quite literally just sexual expression.
>>41021467why do you believe that what's between our legs controls who we are as peoplealso, you're half-right. Gender as a function of biology can be separated from biological sex if we look at it neurologically. Many studies have shown that tranny brains tend to behave in a manner consistent with the opposite sexso perhaps a shorthand could be that gender is the sex of the brain
>>41025670>tend to behave in a manner consistent with the opposite sexnow THATS what I call vague
>>41025674google transgender brianscan
>>41021467Cause its not nice
>>41021467because it isn't true
>>41021467because forcing people to lie is wrong and most people won't submit to it
>>41025680brainscans are inconclusive because they lump transvestites and transsexuals into the same category.the entitlement of transvestites (non-op "trans women") is what has caused for this mess.
>>41021802>Most magic in history was from external intelligences, like the gods. But it's not th gods doing it directly.
>>41025247Somehow we lasted this long apparently without knowing what a man or a woman is.
>>41027045because, *drumrolls*definition spergism isn't needed for a functional societywoow what a discovery
