can confirm lol i'm in IT (sysadmin, a pet peeve of mine is people using IT as a synonym for computer science because now when i say i work in IT people assume i'm a software developer or something) and it's dominated by straight married men. i'm genuinely yet to someone doing my profession irl who's either female or gay. my country is rather conservative though, it's one of the worst countries in the EU for gender employment gaps and women in STEM.
