Hello, I'm MtF. I've been taking cyproterone acetate (12.5 mg/day) and estradiol (in various dosages) since I was 17. I'm 22 now, and recently I've started having serious health problems: low mood and apathy, decreased bone mineral density resulting in terrible back pain, and a weakened immune system. Because of these symptoms, I stopped taking cyproterone in the hope that my testosterone would rise and my condition would improve. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

My current levels are:

· Testosterone: 0.23 nmol/L (6.63 ng/dL)
· Estradiol: 180 pmol/L (50 pg/mL)
· LH and FSH: 0

Right now, several diagnoses are being considered, but one thing is absolutely clear: I have completely destroyed my endocrine system, and my body can no longer sustain itself. I vitally need testosterone, and the only way I can get it is externally.

I'm not sure what levels I should aim for, but I think the standard female range of 1-2 nmol/L (20-40 ng/dL) might be sufficient. Maybe a bit higher.

I currently have Androgel on hand—it's a testosterone gel with a standard dose of 50 mg. How much of it should I take? What should I expect to see in my lab results? What will happen to me on such doses?

I'm very afraid to take testosterone, as I've spent my whole life avoiding it, but right now it might be what saves me.

Sounds like hormone deficiency. Women naturally have some levels of testosterone too. You've nuked your T way too fucken much. Taking whatever dosage of T to get to normal female levels will hopefully help your issues. And it wouldn't do anything detrimental for what you want.

In 30 days, assuming you quit CPA recently, your LH and FSH will start picking up again. Give it time and take some estrogen because in the meanwhile you won't have any sexual hormone which will make sleeping very annoying because of hot flashes.

My situation is as fucked up as it gets. And when I say that, I mean that my body falling apart might not even be my main problem. It is literally illegal to be transgender in my country. If state doctors find out about me, I will most likely be locked away in a psychiatric hospital for a long time. That's why I can't tell most doctors about my situation. However, the situation with medication is decent enough — I can just go to a pharmacy and buy estradiol or testosterone. As for family, forget about it. I don't have one anymore.

Take vitamin K2 mk7 (the mk7 part is important, something like 150mcg dose should suffice)
Ingest 1 gram of calcium a day
Lower sodium intake
Weight bearing exercise (study this topic a little because you gotta start slooooow since you already have osteoporosis)
Get on estrogen injections, aim for at least 150pgml (you haven't told me if you can buy from astrovials)
Apply 1 pump of the testosterone gel on your inner thigh, aim for between 30 and 50 angel (I'm assuming here you have access to blood tests and the whole shebang)

I know how you're feeling and I wish I could hug you. These are my recommendations. Sorry you have to go through this in such a shitty environment.

Swallowing the pills is a bad idea because most of it is going to get converted to estrone, that's why your estrogen is so low.

If you can't then at least do 6mg sublingual. 2mg every 8 hours. You need far higher estrogen levels.

I have been on hrt for almost 3 years now, but still have pretty much all of the muscle mass i started with, which was quite alot. I have a pretty nice lower body, nice legs nd butt and hips, but my upper body is still that of a buff 19y/o boy. It looks unsightly and makes it hard for me to wear small womens tops. How do I get rid of this? I didnt test levels for like 2 years, but I'm back to doing that now, so hopefully we'll see if my maybe my levels have been off? um okay so you know how the bubble gets big when you draw but then shrinks back a little when you stop for a second? just try to draw slowly enough that the bubble doesn't expand. if it expands you're pulling a vacuum on it because the plunger is moving faster than the liquid can pass through the needle into the syringe. if that makes sense!

Estrogen in vials should come with an antibacterial. So any bacteria that is introduced should be fairly easily killed off. It shouldn't be of much concern unless you're really coring your vial
