What percent of scene/emo boys from the 2000’s are trans women now? It seems like a lot of them have trooned out.

All the alt transbians are gamer nerds who were too socially awkward and anxious to break into that clique

I was emo circa late 2000s but there never was much of an emo scene at my school and neither did I have emo hair like that. My hair is too wavy for that style and I lived in a small town so nobody could make my hair look cool like that. Just having long hair in that town already stood out.
>>41124792
I remember that image circulating myspace
>>41124828
this i never got super into any scene
>>
>>41124792
This type of guy from back then is 1000% what I think of when i read the OP lel

>>
I was a teenager around then and I knew some girls that were into that but I was just normal
>>
>>41124775
most of them are mechanics or car guys now
>>
>>41125505
the really sad part was when they'd pretend to be gay

I would say like a good 80 percent. As someone who was a late 00s/early 10s emo/scene boy, thinking back to it, yeah, a good 4/5ths of us were basically repressed transgender women.

The aesthetic was basically the femboy of that era, so it mirrors nowadays where, as we're all aware, a good 4 in 5 of all femboys will eventually come out and transition. Like seriously, the aesthetic of emo/scene was grown out your hair, wear makeup, and dress in androgynous girl's clothing. It was as eggy as you could get for that era.

didnt help that the image of a trans woman was like little britain style shit

I can attest at least one. All through school i had only friends that were girls who made me get a myspace. I found the subculture and got into the music/fashion. Id get so happy and confused everytime anybody would refer to me and my friends as "ladies" and see me and go "oh uh sorry and man" as i stare at them blankly.

yeah i've lived a very interesting life.
and i prefer to hangout with animals more than people. cause people fuck me up.
horses do too. but not as bad.

i would rather get kicked in the thigh with a cannon hoof than hangout with normies.

i just relate to horses alot..
especially ones that were abused.

(i didnt save this 1, but i did work with alot of horses that were missing eyes too)

i just used this as a reference to show what its like when you work with a horse with no eyes.

Of all the emo rappers I know, only one trooned out.
There are more (2) lofi singers who trooned out than the emos.

I was an alt bi boy
Wore a lot of band shirts and upgraded from flairs to skinny jeans in the mid 00s
I didn't do emo hair but I did put it up in pigtails with a bobcut

Honestly its wild to me how much more gender conforming people are in the 2020s than in the 00s. The only thing more wild are the amount of dudes that went from lanky little emo faggot with flippy hair to a pot bellied mean spirited contractor with a dumb looking beard.

I always wonder how many right wing dudes are like that because they are jealous women get to keep living it up through their 20s along with queers meanwhile they are incitivised to become a miserable straight dude that doesn't take care of themselves then blames everyone else for being alone and unhappy
>>
>>41125536
Girls liked it at the time, fit the sensitive crybaby boi they wanted
now they have to settle for like... femboys or something, but that's a bit too gay for even them
>>
Third wave emo is like the shittiest variant of emo and I wish people 20 years later would stop romanticizing it we all knew it was trash back then

Very few. I grew up during that era, I'm basically the only tranny out of my 90+ ppl circle. We have a couple of fags as well, but they're musclefags. The rest are just balding fat men in their late 30s, some are married with kids, others are divorced. One of the hottest guys in my circled I fucked with a lot back in the day, it's a dad of 2 sons and is a huge euro football fan, the norwood ripper didn't spare him at all, unironically built like picrel.

>>
>>41128194
that's so sad. testosterone really is poison
>>
>>41128140
true. and i hate how people think they're "alternative" for listening to it. it was literally on the radio and on tv and in every magazine always. third wave emo was never alternative or counter culture. it was literally culture, and all the people i knew who were into it were middle class larpers who thought blink-182 was punk
>>
>>41128303
Kinds find it funny there are still people trying to gatekeep in 2025
That shit is dumb and should have died 20 years ago
Everyone complains about subcultures dying but what really caused it was people not wanting to join gatekeeping cliques of pick he's judging everyone
Im glad you can just get into any music with a Google search and a little elbow grease and you dont have to pretend to like Alan the older kid who has all the good albums he has been collecting for a decade while shitting on any entry level faggot trying to get into his music

I was working at a concert venue during the mid 00s

Ther was always a bit of a disconnect between "emo" on the radio which was very pop punk and the shit playing in basements and little dinky convert venues. Most of that era of 00s emo and screamo never made it farther than demos and regional tours at best.

God I reread your post and you're such a little bitch, makes me think of how opinionated all the goth kids were around 05-08 over Icon of Coil versus Combichrist and if everyone are sellouts and posers
>>
>>41128482
yeah gatekeeping is bad. everyone should just be able to say they're exactly like you when they aren't and don't understand your culture, and then shit up all your spaces and skew the perception of you because they said so and you're le bad for not letting them :)
>>
>>41124775
I didn't. Am homo/intersex tho. I haven't had a haircut in 3 months and it's looking like that again.
>>
>>41128482
gigs were great back then. you could see your favourite band from kerrang play at your local guildhall for £20.
>>
>>41129082
Has it ever occurred to you to that helping people into the scene would actually grow it meanwhile acting like a high school kid with a chip on their shoulder makes no one want to be around you?>>41129279
Yeah it was such a fun time, I saw hundreds of artists
>>
>>41124775
I would guess that there isn't a strong correlation between boys who were part of fashion and music subcultures, and transiktioning to the opposite gender.
