i think i might have treatment resistant depression
>>

sorry :( what treatment did you have?
>>
>>41243957
ive tried 2 antidepressants (fluoxetine and sertraline) so far and ive been going to a psychologist for a while now (ive been going on and off for 6+ years but i only started consistently going to my current one less than a year ago) and none of those things make me feel any different. like nothing. i was expecting the medication to do SOMETHING atleast but i feel no different.

the only thing thats kinda helped me is an antihistamine i take for my anxiety and sleeping problems but thats unrelated to the depression i think.

im not gonna give up trying medications just yet but i hate this

Does anyone in your family have bipolar or BPD? I thought I had treatment resistant, but instead I have a semi-obscure type of bipolar, that isn't really bipolar, but instead gives you bipolar like symptoms once you get on SSRIs (worse depression and hypomania). I got on lurasidone (antipsychotic) and it did wonders, exactly what I thought sertraline would do

no, as far as i know no one in my family has ever struggled with their mental health that much. according to dad my mom had a pretty bad phase of depression way before i was born but ive never personally seen anyone or heard of anyone in my close family have such problems
