>>41248128I think it depends on the context. If you have a character come out as trans and everyone automatically accepts it then it can come off as cheesy and unrealistic. There's also stuff like the Bill Nye ice cream cartoon that feels like it was designed to antagonize straight people or the Dragon Age game that introduced a nonbinary character in a setting that already had its own cultural equivalent.
