Momma is so HSTS coded AGPs have NEVER heard about it.

why does it look like a cis girl and her hon girlfriend who she definitely doesnt see as a woman
>>
>>41255942
Anon, you could just say you like this band and think it's really cool, you don't have to resort to blanchtard baiting.

here's my AOTY, I believe I am the biggest musichon on this board

I dunno but I think the one on the left is the popular cool fem lesbian and the one on the right is her slightly butch sidekick, I have no idea if they are actually lesbians but it seems slightly unbelievable that they aren't

>>41257305
t. the most agp person here
>>
>>41255942
"90s alt rock, but add reverb, but not enough to be full on shoegaze" is like every other hot new band atm
this sounds nice but also like i've heard it a million times before.
>>
>>41257366
>fem
>at that height
no
>>
>>41257433
to be fair their last hit, bang bang, was a bit less referential but at least they are making music
I wonder when Softcult will release new music, they are less shiny and more outright shoegaze.
I think the electronic riffs are what distinguish Momma from the pack.
>>
>>41255942
im a classical and synthwave hon, the two most masculine genres invented
>>
>>41257479
I accidentally listen to lesbian music now.

I like reverb.

>"HSTS coded"
>cis lesbian music
close enough i guess
>>
>>41258460
I wish cis gay men made music as good as lesbians do. It's sad really.
>>
>>41258468
they used to, but AIDS took them out sadly
>>
>>41258484
It has nothing to do with that.
>>
>>41258468
Plenty of great cisgay musicians, more than there are lesbians Tbh
>>
>>41258597
no they mostly suck, trust me ive heard them or of them
>>
>>41258597
most cis gay music is just moping around about how they turned 18 and arent in their prime anymore
>>
>>41257366
i just looked it up to double check and yeah, at least one of them's lesbian. i heard a song from this band a while back and just assumed it was lesbian music based on some female pronoun usage and the overall vibe. radar's working.
>>
>>41259313
>on some female pronoun usage
hmm I didn't really notice that in the songs, bands who make a conscientious effort to make their music clearly gay-coded via pronouns are kinda rare, and most out lesbian singers unfortunately tend to label themselves "queer"

here's another lesbian
https://youtu.be/tGP-cZzPRrU
>>
>>41258597
>Plenty of great cisgay musicians
name one
inb4 car seat headrest why do people ALWAYS cite this person the music is so BLAND
>>
>>41261735
i wouldn't say it was conscientious, i listened to it and raised an eyebrow and said "hm, lezzy vibes"
>>
>>41262989
I keep happening upon mostly lesbian music and I'm not specifically trying to find it, its mostly just what Apple Music tells me to listen to.
Momma is weird cuz the lyrics are so hypersexualized but at least the songs I've heard (admittedly not most of them) don't really use gendered pronouns other than to state a female is the target of the erotic affections and like its weird cuz most lesbian music is kinda cold and analytical and not as outright horny and it KINDA sounds like they could be singing about a male but they never specify. But whoever does their keyboard/synth is the best part, as with most music.
>>
>>41263035
lesbian music should be hornier, imo. i would like to attempt to make my own horny lesbian music, but it would be very bad and not good. but horny lesbian music is important in the fight against people sanitizing lesbian love to be pure chaste roommates who hold hands.
>>
>>41263064
I have no problem with that in theory but in reality it tends to be be very repetitive lyrically and kinda cringy in its performative forcefulness. Then there's like anti-horny lesbian music like Softcult where half the songs are OMG MEN ARE TOO HORNY AND JUST WANT TO USE WOMEN, IF I WAS WITH A WOMAN I WOULD KNOW TO TREAT HER RIGHT
I guess that's the other lesbian angle the scorned wannabe lover looking in at hetero lives from afar
the classic song about that is MJ by Now Now, and basically the guy who did the synths for that band I uh THINK is gay judging by the sound of his voice and now he produces a younger artist by the name of Landon Conrath (who definitely is not gay) but the synths are nice in So So:

https://youtu.be/5Pjmdm3DTL4

> sanitizing lesbian love to be pure chaste roommates who hold hands.
its not really that its more like lesbian music is about anguishing over relationships that died out or not wanting any intimacy at all vs a partner who is too horny for you (ralph - cold to the touch)
then there's softcore horny lesbian like Carol Ades where I believe she actually uses female pronouns in her songs to her credit but the dirtiest thing she wants it her hand under your shirt
>>
>>41263098
>its not really that
i'm talking mostly about outside observers who do this, and now somewhat seeping into the upcoming zoomery gens of wlw. the whole "cottagecore lesbian" fiasco has a lot of young people thinking that lesbian couples are just really close gal pals. we gotta talk about wanting to eat pussy more. but that's just my opinion.
>>
>>41263134
Maybe you are talking about some sort of trans thing. I only end up listening to cis lesbian music.
>the whole "cottagecore lesbian" fiasco
I have not encountered this.

>has a lot of young people thinking that lesbian couples are just really close gal pals
female homosociality is far less taboo than male homosociality, I think a lot of lesbians used to and still do cover up their relationships as friendships, that just never went away
>>
>>41263154
i'm talking about the cis lesbian social media mainstream
>>
>>41263169
>cis lesbian social media mainstream
what an unnecessary and precious world
>>
>>41263180
unfortunately it pervades into the real world since we as a society increasingly live our lives on the internet
>>
>>41263194
can we get more gay men to make music plz
i have like 20-30 lesbian coded songs from the last few years
and really almost nothing gay male
>>
>>41263210
uhh shit who are some gay men... troye sivan? i don't know what his music sounds like but he's a little faggot. sam smith? he's gay right? he's basically still a man so he counts. is tyler the creator still gay? is lil nas x still alive
>>
>>41263227
yeah but the music is terrible
sam smith had ONE ok song years and years ago basically doing the vocals for someone else's song and built a whole career out of it
>>
>>41258606
>>41258761
>>41262113
I was thinking more like Sviatoslav Richter or Fred Hersch, but go off.

>>41263341
>gay men are playing the same tunes the player piano at the hospital plays when i go for scans
>>
>>41255942
Ok you made me listen to the album. I Want You (Fever) is cool (I saved it) but it's also just not very original. Just sounds okay.
>>
>>41263508
>but it's also just not very original.
I think everyone had the same reaction
its basically over-sexy veruca salt tribute act with more modern glossy synths backing it
but those synths are some of the best textures of 2025
and basically everyone is waiting for them to see if they can outdo Bang Bang cuz even that song felt like potential but not fully realized

here's some other stuff

https://youtu.be/5Pjmdm3DTL4
https://youtu.be/pXBsrw__Ohs

>>41263475
You attend a very based hospital then.
>>
>>41263536
Yes. The textures are really good but I am not the biggest texture person so it didn't do that much for me. It's just that the songs kind of blend into each other.
>>
>>41263551
I'm all about synth textures
https://youtu.be/eVduz7ZMtXU?

this song is about uh loving a friend and her other song explicitly mentions kissing a guy, but I have a hard time taking her seriously as androphilic
