i also have needlephobia and i used to freak out about doing my injections too.
now i dont have it for hrt, but i still have needlephobia about other people injecting me or taking my blood.
i cant even look when other people do it or its not hrt.

why am i the opposite...?

1st injection took 3s
2nd injection took 30s
3rd injection failed first day, had to try again next day, ended up taking me 4hrs
4th injection? still need to do it and i was supposed to do it 4 days ago. I've been trying again and again for 4 consecutive days now and i still can't. even bought a fucking autoinjector and can't make myself PRESS THE FUCKING BUTTON

if i were to extrapolate my next shot will take me a ~3.2 months

When i still did them myself I had to give myself a treat and talk myself through it, doing that may help you.
Now my boyfriend gives me my injections, because it takes 5 minutes vs me crying for 3-4 hours trying to get the nerve up to stick myself. I lay at the edge of the bed with my ass and whichever leg is getting the shot near the edge. I put a squishmallow between my legs and try to relax my leg muscles, because if theyre tense it WILL hurt more.
