It is just hard for me to understand because the thoughts and paths of most ftms and mtfs seem very different to me.I've been volunteering at a trans youth NGO, I've talked to them and all and it just feels like... the queer club. The ''women and trans people only'' kind of meetings. They, as trans men, are very hostile towards the idea of associating with cis men. They do not seek that validation that trannies frequently seek. They are not desperate to medically transtion. They have no problem on using what you could call ''AFAB status'' to their advantage. It's just really different from what I see from mtfs.Of course I've also met trans men who are men on the more ''traditional'' way but really it's a minority.

Trans men are told more often that we're confused little girls who are misled and could easily live happy fulfilled lives as women and not be blamed for anything we did. If we're women, we're not supposed to have agency like that.Trans women are told they're evil depraved perverts doing it for a fetish and hurting other people--that they're the ones responsible for nice girls being misled.Detransition feels like an easier option when you're the former vs the latter.
