well the best way is https://mii.nxw.pw nowadays, it's got good extra options and a built-in renderer and it's really well-made
the second best option is to install kaerutomo on android by patching miitomo with the kaeru patcher. i have that set up on an android emulator and set my emulator to not anti-alias anything. then i went into miifoto and did gdi screen grab to png and chromakeyed out the background for clean gifs of my miis.
but i really recommend the mii.nxw.pw site first nowadays, lol
