The thing that sucks about mental illness is you really have to take responsibility for it yourself, doctors aren't going to be able to make it go away, they certainly aren't going to give you any emotional support, but they can get you access to meds and methods that you can try, maybe you have to try a few different things, or learn how to make these things work for you. It will probably take some work on your part, and some openness to trying the mainstream tools, and understanding that you may have to accept imperfect solutions, partial solutions, side effects that you might not enjoy.

People get frustrated when it turns out not to be like an antibiotic you can pop to kill all the bad stuff inside your mind and then never think about it again. Mental drugs aren't like that, they're flawed and complicated, and the best case scenario is you're on that drug for life once you find one that works. And by works I mean one that you are willing to tolerate its side effects in exchange for its benefits.

You said that you are experiencing overwhelming terror at your whole family being stalked and killed for using a gay dating app, in France. This is not a realistic outcome. I'm not going to try to explain to you rationally how I arrived at that belief. But I am certain most anyone you would talk to in an everyday setting would concur. You are experiencing paranoid delusions, quite literally. You should be worried about getting AIDS or meeting a weirdo who creeps you out. Or some unpleasant and disgusting sexual encounter. Those would be rational things to worry about. Not your family getting stalked and killed.

A psychiatrist is the commonly accepted solution to a problem like this, in the context of modern western society. In the past perhaps you would have been sent to a priest or a shaman. But today it's a psychiatrist. You may be told to work with a therapist as well, I don't know. But I do have experience with mental illness, both personally, and family and friends. There's not much else like it, since you're self-managing. If you get prescribed meds or a therapist, and you don't click with the meds, or the therapist is an asshole and you need to find a different one, of course give it time (especially meds) but also keep an open mind and consider it all just a toolbox that you try to find the tool that works but don't give up if one doesn't.
