If that's not the case then that means some groups have artifical disadvantages which is a huge problem because it means untapped genius is being wasted due to racial biases. Same goes for the sexes, if you believe that both men and women inherently should have the same inclination towards political office, the sciences and commerce, then it's a terrible shame that so many talented women are squandering their potential so that mediocre men can take their place.
