1. Is DIY hrt safe?
2. What type of needles should I be getting?
3. How long does it take for the astrovials girl to respond via email?

DIY is as safe as you are intelligent.

As long as?
>>
>>41483208

Trace your progress on estrannaise, do bloodwork to verify, you need: E, T (total), SHBG, GNRH, and clotting params (latter usually included in a machine assay).
Look for technique, vids are widely available.
For a beginner im is easier than subq.
Opsec is hard though, since with a full set of injection supplies, your parents (and anyone not in the know) will think you're doing heroin. Find a very, VERY safe place for your sharps. NEVER dispose used sharps with the trash.
> What types of needles should you be getting
Depends on how brainwormed you are about losing e, and what do you think about the air lock technique.
For IM: 1/1.25" (2" if you are fat), 26G for injecting, 18G for drawing. You can draw with the same needle you're injecting with.
Subq needles are shorter.
> How long does it takes for astrovials to respond?
Yuropoor here, we have other suppliers.

Thanks, how do I inject if I'm skinny? Can I do it in my butt cheeks?
>>
>>41484778
this is how i do it. lie flat prone and relax and feel the outer portion of the top of your buttcheeks. there always seems to be some fat there
>>
>>41484710
How is IM easier? I've never done either but if I had to guess I'd say it's easier to hurt yourself with IM isn't it? I was considering doing subq instead of IM becuase I don't wanna accidentally end up with a broken nerve or something.

In burgerstan, astrovials, use diyhrt.wiki and lurk >>>/lgbt/hrtgen/
Assuming you're theymab, E is safe-ish injected, but be careful, since there has been incidents of reverse dysphoria (dysphoria caused by gender transition) reported!

>>41484778
The only thing different between skinny and fat people IM is the needle length desu.

>>41484810
IM: Two palms breadth below your hips, jab the thigh on the top, straight down. Aspirate, check for blood, inject, done.
SubQ: Find a space on your belly, worry about overused sites (EUn REALLY has an advantage there, but real estate share if you're diabetic, or on a glp-1 agonist, peptides, or need another subq med), worry about the needle (subq needles are designed for watery insulin, not oily E), pinch, find correct angle, hope you're in deep enough but not too deep

>>41484879
> vein
Noooo, you really, REALLY don't want that.
Not with E at least
>>
>>41484920
So what needles do I need for IM?
>>
>>41484958
Sharps Acquisition
IM needle: 25–27G, 30mm (1.25")
Syringe: 1 mL (Luer lock)
Draw needle (optional but easier): 18–20G, to pull oil from vial, then switch to 25–27G for injection.
Alcohol swabs: at least one per inject + one for vial top.
Sharps container: pharmacy or DIY (sturdy detergent bottle, sealed).
Keep this phrased as a single errand list: “Needle, syringe, swab, bin.” Don’t let it expand.

I have a body type in mind and I’m already not super far from it without HRT, so I’m not too worried considering my genetics and stuff. My biggest concern is a lack of T fucking my hairline up or overdoing E and just outright becoming in my physique entirely female (which fortunately for me or unfortunately arguably to some I probably wouldn’t pass if I was mtf). Also yeah I am just waiting here for the diy thread, normally I’m an /int/ and /vr/fag. Ty Anon

I use half-inch long, 29 gauge needles and I do subcutaneous injections in one of my thighs or in my stomach.
I just use the same needle to inject as I use to draw. It microscopically blunts the needle and is supposed to make injections hurt more, but I find it still doesn't really hurt at all so it's fine.
Make sure you inject properly. You know, use alcohol swabs on the rubber of the vial and the part of your body that you inject into, and then pinch some fat to inject into, and inject somewhere between a 90 degree and a 45 degree angle. Put it in fast so it doesn't hurt at all. When taking it out, there might be a tiny bit of blood dripping if you're unlucky, so keep bandaids on hand. And throw away your needles into a sharps bin.

Is pill as good as injection?
I hate needles:(
>>
>>41486060
no. injections are more potent. its scary at first, but it gets easy after a few times.
its only poking yourself in the leg, anon. you'll barely feel it.
>>
In 30 years we're all gonna find out HRT shortens your lifespan or some shit

^this.
The first injection is the hardest, Then you'll learn to live with it.

> Pills have more side effects (liver, clotting)
>STRICTLY REQUIRE an antiandrogen (cypro, bica), antiandrogens have side effects of their own.
> Pills need to be taken 2-3x/day vs 1x/wk (EEn) - 1x/month (EUn) injection (you'd be up to date on your meds even when highly depressed).
> Pills cap you at between 50-75 pgml of E. Injections have no upper sustainable limit (your body's E tolerance will break before you experience severe side effects from the injection itself - as in pills: 8-10+mg of micronized was linked to breast cancer).
> Pills are far more expensive in both legit and diy than injections (unless your health care plan covers them)

>>41485743
> 26G for injecting, 18G for drawing
Learn to read, Goddess.
Also.
