Hello voice posters. Instead of the usual resources that ain't nobody use I will give some advice that I think helps everyone.Practicing alone in your room is helpful but the ultimate passage to a trained voice is being able to actually use it. You'll never "find" your voice if you aren't practicing it in real conversation. If you're not out irl maybe try chatting on discord VC or something like that.
https://voca.ro/14sbHwsmVIazHope you're all well voice posters
I would also like to build on the advice I mentioned in the OP:for beginners working on the technical aspects like pitch, resonance etc is often demoralizing because it's weird and confusing.I recommend for people new to voice training that they focus more on the manner in which they speak. If you're mtf for example listen to how women speak and try to emulate it. Not the pitch but the mannerisms and cadenceFinding your voice is kind of a whole journey, personality is kinda stored in the voice and you are to an extent changing your personality when you train your speaking mannerismsIt's a whole thing, just keep working at it

>>41486821>trans dudes can't give actual adviceI'm retarded sorry.
>>41487082Well if it is VERY bad people will say, yes. I have gotten many comments on how I sound strange in some way or another.
>>41487287What if it's not very bad but still clocky sometimes? I fear that's the case with me, my speech therapist said my voice passes but I don't know if I can even trust her. Especially when I'm less confident when speaking English (as I'm ESL). It's also hard to know if the weirdness people will pick up on for me would be cus I'm trans or because I'm autistic or because I'm ESL or any combination of it all!? >>41487276being retarded is malebrained you're good
i always sound like im going to cry i know, im working on it though >o<>>41487082https://vocaroo.com/15x8fJxfqxz1>>41485003seems pretty ok to me, id say focus on resonance a bit more though anon.>>41485021ty for keeping these threads alive

>>41486956ur pitch is great just try to make your throat/mouth smaller and talk higher, work on resonance. >>41485021 maybe try adjusting your vowel placement? might just be the accent but try shifting your vowels a little down, like a->o, i->e, etc.https://voca.ro/1mQ9QGyNjOPp this is me i need help on my pitch it seems too low. my voice mostly passes to cis people but i feel like that makes it distinctive which is obv counterproductive.

>>41487668Real. I have almost certainly had too many embarrassing instances of showing my face or voice on here that I need to go cold turkey at this point if I am to save my sanity. I can't have people start fucking recognizing me on 4chan. I have been intentionally trying to be more generic-ish. I don't even specify what type of tranny I am alot of the time.

https://voca.ro/18mOJWkSMtbHi consistently hate my voice>>41485003>You'll never "find" your voice if you aren't practicing it in real conversationTHIS! i never did a good job until i had the pressure of not sounding stupid around my peers>>41485021hi nice voice, and the only different quality to most cis men is just that your voice is distinctive, you sort of sound like a dismissive love interest kinda character from a show or smth>>41486956i think maybe resonance is a little big, and that's making anything else difficult to hear, at least for my inexperienced ears>>41487394terrified australian ahh voice>>41487423idk, maybe a higher pitch would hel
>>41485021theres nothing to fix your voice is totally good you just talk slightly weirdly but i would never even pay attention to your voice if it wasnt in a voice thread, totally cis passinf. god pooners have it so easy

Bump. I'm a butch (cis) lesbian. I have posted my voice here before and I've been told that my voice is pretty androgynous. I'm wondering if I'll get a cool and sexy manlier voice if I start taking T, what do you guys think? I tried not to change anything about my voice. Is voice training even possible for mehttps://voca.ro/1hThMS82owi1
>>41496625https://voca.ro/161nCvlbBa4x
>>41496860KEK you literally sound cis to me, I love your voice. Fucking awesome. I hear you on the feminine flair, I got that comment from an anon here once. What would you say is the most feminine about the way I speak? I definitely can detect the vocal fry at the end of some words and I think I have a tendency to pitch my voice up at the end of some words. Do you also feel like you've got a huge frog in your throat when you speak with a deeper inflection?Ideally I'd like to sound just like you basically and I'm not sure if that's a realistic goal. Our registers are pretty different but if it's as you say I will definitely keep practicing on removing the feminine inflection
>>41485021Thought I would share my first voice clip, transitioned roughly 3 years ago now. Please be kind. https://voca.ro/1oesFuZjLpfX
>>41496928Honestly I'm sorry I don't have the vocabulary to describe it beyond what you've identified yourself. Thanks though I recorded myself saying the first half of your recording in my own my voice if that's helpful to you at all https://voca.ro/1p7V5oW2dwXQ

VTG TIME! <3https://voca.ro/1g3UI9u67jp4 Please give me any advice on how I should change my voice, what exercises I need to do etc. or if there’s anything you want me to say to give you a better idea for what I should change. >>41493935Your voice sounds hot as usual, lowkey sounds a bit congested today tho >>41496625Your voice is fine, if you wanna sound more masc you honestly can probably get there without T if you’re worried about other effects. As for if it would sound hotter, I can’t tell you cause I’m too much of a fag. >>41491035Idk why but I think your voice is very entertaining to listen to. It sounds kinda like a cartoon character (mostly just cause it’s a bit nasal) tho which might not be what you want
Bump
https://voca.ro/1n0uuh3vavUA>>41499286sound like a woman to me throughout! I would say maybe dont put the extra effort into brightening your voice *all* the time, but it adds some nice variation to your voice, I don't think it would be weird to use when talking to someone in a professional capacity or trying to be sweet or whatever>>41497251doin the lords work>>41496625I mean T does drop your voice but it also makes you go through like an awkward puberty voice stage, and your voice is already androgynous and hot. I think you could be plenty successful with your goals just voice training but also take T if you want being trans is fun>>41490760I think you're talking kinda like captain kirk with all the pauses so it sounds kinda unnatural but thats probably not a problem when you're talking to people normally >>41487423the best advice I got on pitch was to really only focus on the pitch you start a sentence at. The rest of it will come up naturally, but its way easier on your voice than constantly trying to strain to keep it up
>>41485003corn facts from a fag voca.ro/1aFQD5xPAqvKratings soon i'm being owned by automod

Are there any examples out there of nasal-sounding nerdy girls I can mimick? I can't think of any, and all voice training lessons are too focused on the valley girl accent that doesn't fit my personality at all
https://voca.ro/17t0xelIp9hr>>41503087Easily passes, don't have much else to add>>41502022Sounds a lil young maybe, but passes
>>41504155>sounds a lil young maybe but passesi'm mtf btw
>>41504155also maybe a little bit of an insane take but I think the uncanny valley effect is just from the your inflection, especially if people around you don't talk the same way. also see if you could lighten your vocal fry (not less) your voice sounds fine otherwise in my amateur opinion
Hiiiii everyone!!! Please rate my voice!! ive been on t for four years, voice training for 6!! I am 19! t. ftmhttps://voca.ro/1e1kgT4nHhxk
yay thread is back! meeee https://voca.ro/11jTzOY1WPe1>>41485021sounding good; I'd place you as a high school student if i had to sayyou have a bit of a radio voice in that it sounds a bit performed, in that it seems designed and therefore a bit less naturalif it helps at all, I remember my own masc voice being "open" and "raw," coming not just from the vocal folds but from a sort of "cavern" in your chest>>41487382you may be focusing too much on pitch elevation rntry dropping your voice into a range that's comfier from the point of view of expressive variation, then elevate pitch over timealso, pay attention to how you're passing air through the nose; female speech is nasally resonant; it vibrates the nose noticeably>>41487394nice passing voice>>41487423I feel like you're so, so closewhat you're thinking is low pitch may be just the voice dropping into the chestthey're related but separate; it's possible to have a lower yet head-resonant voice, and vice versahumming is a great way to feel out where your voice should sit under ideal circumstances; your face will be "buzzy" when you have the resonance mostly in your head>>41490760aww I wanted to rate you :( I'm sure it's not nearly as bad as you think, and getting down on yourself isn't helping I'm sureremember to love yourself, you deserve it>>41496625please rate others when posting, it's how the thread sustains itself :)you'd probably have a fantastic masc voice if you got on T; it's a bit higher than I had before I started fem voice trainingyou sound a little like some of my deep-voiced middle school students, which tells me you just need to strengthen those sections of your vocal folds>>41497030please rate others :)lovely! you'll strengthen the muscles over time :)>>41499286sounds good! slow down and soften consonants; you're like 90% there>>41499786hate you so fucking much for that script lmfao but sounds great; would place it as a deeper-voiced woman, mid-30s maybe
>>41504155>Easily passes, don't have much else to addthanks <3 it's really hard for me to tell with my own voiceanyway, i think your voice passes too, MAYYBEE the pitch is a little high for your resonance? Not sure, it's hard to tell>>41505133>aww I wanted to rate yousorry i thought that one was far back enough no one would bother lol. im also >>41504155 if you really wanna rate me lol.nice voice btw, not sure how you'd get clocked other than just being a woman on the internet>getting down on yourself isn't helping I'm sureyeah i really need to get better at that. ive always been really bad about not feeling terrible about voice work, when i was younger i had to take speech classes and it made me unwilling to look into mirrors for months because the teacher made me do that to see what i was doing physically when talking, so i think im just wired to cry a lot while working on changing my voice
continuing my ratings, me if you want to ratehttps://vocaroo.com/11jTzOY1WPe1>>41502022so assuming you're mtf, singing is one of the best ways to improve because female speech is essentially non-musical singingone of the biggest difference differences is that male speech is almost "puffed," in "segments," whereas female speech is more like a continuous flowalso, work on getting your voice out of your chest; humming can help you figure out what this feels likealso, use your voice in public! it's embarrassing as fuck but you have to!>>41503087sounding good; there's a tiny bit of nasality that I think is coming from vocal strain, essentially a "tightening" you're performing on your vocal folds to achieve a certain pitch? hard to saytry to avoid closing your throat and look at yourself in a mirror while you speak; if you scrunch your forehead or nose at all while you speak, you may be constricting the sinuses and causing a shallow nasality as opposed to the whole-face resonance you want>>41504155one of the key features of your voice right now is "clipped" speech, that is slightly stoccato, "chopped" sounds, almost like there's a jagged pause between the wordsfem speech generally "stretches;" it expands and flows, which is why there's also a physical softening of vowels in terms of how they're pronouncedhere's an example where I move from one to the other and back again to illustratehttps://voca.ro/1iXhZIEifuT4>>41504952sounds great; sounds a bit like a New Yorkerplease rate others, otherwise the thread dies :)
>>41505219thank you! that makes me feel nice; sometimes I wonder if my voice drops or gets more masc just because I'm talking urgently while trying to comm while playing FPS games, but such it is; getting that part of my voice in line will just be part of the processoh yeah you sounded pretty good! I gave you some pointers in >>41505231
>>41504952sounds like ai >>41504155pretty good, little nasaly, i think >>41503087yea sounds pretty natural>>41499786pass>>41499286pass, but always room for improvement like you said, yours sounds naturalhttps://voca.ro/14HhnUZzS10e
