hello fellow whatever the fuck, i have a glaring question… it seems like it usually causes a lot of discourse, so i’ll just preface with, obviously trans women cannot get “periods”. we lack the anatomical function.HOWEVER, what about pms? bc every end of the month is the same bullshit for me, and with today marking the end of the month, it resurfacing and me being pissed off at nothing reminded me. every time i try to search stuff up for support, it’s either cis girls shitting on mtfs, or other mtfs shitting on mtfs saying no it’s not possible.i can’t help what i feel, i feel what i feel unfortunately, and it’s a monthly week of irritating trash. is this psychosomatic, or am i not going crazy just yet? probably doesn’t help its my trough day either, so it amplifies it
any help
>>41487713fluctuations in hormone levels causing mood swings is well documented in both males and femalesgetting PMS-like symptoms while going through HRT makes perfect sense
>>41488498i see. i do get mood swings normally ofc, but the monthly thing is normal pms type shit too?
>>41488505probablyyour HRT regimen is analogous to a cis woman's menstrual cycleto have a week or so of PMS symptoms every month just confirms that
>>41487713the same thing happens to me i get super horny but also really emotional bordering psychosis lol it usually lasts like 5 or so days each timeeveryone says its not possible for us to get pms or whatever but i dont rlly see why not we have the same hormones as actual women and get a lot of the other effects plus were able to go into menopause if we stop taking hormones so it makes sense it would work the other way
>>41487713probably what u won't get is stuff related to the body prepping for blood loss and the side-effects of said blood lossthat said, u can probs do things like inducing a hormone dependent migraine if ur vulnerable to that kind of thing
>>41487713PMS symptoms are so diverse that it feels hard to really say one way or another. I know I tend to get pretty low moods and energy for the days before injection and a little after. I don't know how that corresponds to the menstrual cycle or if it's just I know my hormone levels are at their lowest so I blame that.
>>41488548i see! so it’s NOT all in my head!>>41488728for me personally, i get extremely intense specific food cravings, a lot of “pissed off at everything and nothing” and “sad at everything and nothing” and cramps. when i saw ppl saying it’s not possible, i just think to myself “jesus christ i WISH it was all in my head”. like brother i don’t want these fucking side effects. it’s affirming, but annoying.interestingly, i didn’t get pms until going on injections, after being on hrt for years. i would get very mild side effects but nothing like now
>>41488839sorry, me here again, also changed my prog dose to 200mg and started doing it rectally along with the injection change. might be something with it figured i’d mention
>>41488574same except I flip back and forth between distractingly horny and feeling vaguely sick at the thought of sex.
>>41488869op here, yeah that’s another side effect i get, deranged horny behavior. for me it’s more im either extremely horny or too emotional to be horny
>>41488881wow anon it's kinda crazy to talk to someone who is putting into words the exact same things that I experience. Now I'm getting weepy because I would be absolutely mortified to mention this kind of thing in real life because I might be projecting onto women's experiences or something so I'll never get the chance to commiserate in person with someone about this like cis women do. I'm cooked.
>>41489009fuck em. if anything im happy to be your window into a similar experience. we walk together! it’s like i said earlier, most of this pms shit i don’t wanna go through, why would i make it up pic related, terfs when trans women take woman hormones and get woman things happening to them
>>41487713this guy is gonna be outed as a child rapist within the year.
>>41489247shit i wouldn’t mind if he raped me, dudes fine af. kids better be fucking grateful
>>41487713your brain on estrogen literally tries to get your body to ovulateobviously it doesn't but who knows what else all those hormones cause
>>41489298some of my fondest memories are of being a crossdressing teenager smoking weed and banging with 2 trans girls. it was all downhill from there, honestly.
>>41491135i see. yeah that tracks. im surprised to see the support here considering everywhere else i looked shit on people for even asking. usually the inverse is true
>>41492339there’s no reason u can’t cross dress, smoke weed, and bang two transfems today my friend.
>>41493247i was getting spitroasted, or sucking them at the same time. it's different, this was in the 2000s, when trannies were calling themselves trannies and shemales, and being both legit freaks in bed, while putting in the hard work to look as feminine as possible. plus, they were in their late 20s, and goths. i can never have this exact thing again.
>>41493276sounds like you just haven’t put in the work. tons of “as fem as possible” big hips tiny waist big ass trannies like me out there. i would think im a freak if i drink piss and one of my favorite things is getting slapped hard.sounds like cope dude. go out there and get spit roasted.
>>41493233people shit on it here too just depends who you get respondingyou can read up on it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharmacodynamics_of_estradiol#Progonadotropic_effects if you follow the references but yeah there's not much more than "yeah we measured something tangentially related once and then forgot about it"draw your own conclusions but uh i suspect there's a reason this keeps coming up
>>41493346thanks. will do. if it was a one off thing or every few months i’d be like whatever, but it happens like fucking clockwork. and honestly, it tends to suck except extreme horny
>>41488574>>41488869>>41488881>>41489009>>41489145wait a minute this is real? i thought it was just me lol
>>41493658yes. it’s real. very real. be not ashamed friend
>>41487713it's in the pituitary gland or something, no you don't have magic hidden ovaries and no you will never have a period but yes you are subject to a range of possible symptoms probably in line with your afab relatives when it comes to PMS or PMDD that follow the same general cycle and can include things like cramps and moodiness in response to changes in things like prostaglandins and allopregnanolone
>>41493913wow. no one will ever believe me lmfao
>>41493937very reassuring. i almost want to cry this thread validated me so much. i second guessed myself so hard that it made me ever more of an emotional wreck. i really appreciate it.>>41493959dw, i will
>>41493233not many other easily accessed places than reddit and reddit is just braindead idiots pretending to be nice and xitter is xitter desu
