Why is it generally disfavored for men to openly announce a sexual preference for trans women to their friends and family?
>>
>>41489584
because whats the point. thats like coming out as not-gay
>>
>>41489613
to express your preferences about an important aspect of your life
yeah, I would suspect most trans attracted men are bisexual so I guess it is "not-gay" but an odd way to state that
>>
>>41489621
im the kind of person whos not straight and still hates when lgbt people make their sexuality known so im probably not the best person to answer this
>>
>>41489584
why would you ever announce your sexual preference to your family?
just introduce them to your trans gf when it's time to and if they have a problem then tell them they're being immature little babies
>>
>>41489634
because then you don't have to hide your romantic relationships from everyone
or act like men liking trans women is something you NEED to be ashamed of or hide...
>>
>>41489649
just dont hide them bro
just be yourself
if anyoine gives you shit for it then they can fuck off
>>
>>41489670
I'm not talking about me, I'm saying why would others react negatively to someone announcing they are romantically into trans women.
What would motivate them to be hostile towards that?
>>
I'm not sure!
>>
>>41489613
Yeah like 10% of people tops see it that way
It's a massive stigma and immediate gay-grouping of you by nearly everyone
If you have a trans partner you have to deal with it, but it's weird because it's not really a thing to "come out" about, despite still having to in effect come out
>>
>>41493352
>immediate gay-grouping of you by nearly everyone
is that bad?
>>
>>41493381
Yes, in that it's transphobic and inaccurate
But it's a real thing you have to deal with
>>

>in that it's transphobic and inaccurate

yuh huh
