That's why 99% of topical hobbies (history, science, programming, tech, gaming) are male. Note I'm specifying hobby. Obviously plenty of women work in science but their interest is solely the $ and possible status. There are no women who tinker in science or fabrication or building in their spare time for the sake of the activity.
