Because the dems wont stop putting up neolibs. They say they want moderates but then put up a brown woman for office. They need to pick a lane. Either go all in on progressivism, brown woman who advocates for healthcare for all, high speed rail, and going after people who employ illegal immigrants rather than the immigrants themselves, or just keep putting up mediocre white men neolibs.

Or allow both illegal immigrants and the people who employ them, and build high speed rail in part by removing all of the fucking absurd regulations that are the primary thing blocking high speed rail from being built (built by the government itself!!)

Neoliberalism is by far the best system to drive up both wages and the success of the economy at large. Socialism stifles and then destroys the economy and individual wellbeing.

Democrats are to the left of all European parties on social issues and match the best European parties on economic issues, as they should. The average voter is just stupid and doesn't realize how based the Democratic party is, because their candidates and leaders are uncharismatic and too anxious and too careful to avoid offending people. They should be calling Trump and his people demons and psychopaths. So far only one is, and he's probably the one who'll get the nomination.
>>
>>41494595
Not saying that.
Do you think healthcare, prisons, electricity, mass transportation, and military should be run by private companies?

The US Democratic party is way to the left of almost every other party in every country in world history. And that's a good thing. Trans rights, LGBT rights, women's rights, immigrants, race issues, etc.
>>
>>41494923
Whats up with you people and thinking everything is 'the most x in world history'?
Its grating and ignorant as all hell. America isnt even a real country.

Nobody is libtarded enough to actually believe this, right? Like there cannot be a single person so fucking dumb that they actually think this is true.
>>

My personal theory is that my fellow Amerilards overcompensate for their embarrassing lack of knowledge of history and politics by bullshitting about "world history."

Name any prominent parties that win more than 4% of seats in any country that are to the left of the American Democratic party on social issues

>America isnt even a real country.
Low-IQ point. No country is "real". Meaningless statement

Bcuz thats quite a list.
>>

Not what I'm talking about. I am a staunch neoliberal and Democratic party supporter, campaigner, funder, and shill but I do not support the historical US foreign policy of overthrowing democratically elected leaders to attempt to slow the spread of communism. Communism is horrible but two wrongs do not make a right and ends don't always justify the means.

I was not a military policy advisor in that era (or now) so don't blame me. Also the Democratic party has not supported anything like that in decades except arguably in Libya but Gaddafi wasn't democratically elected so that's a very different situation.

Anyway, no one has attempted to answer my question yet
>>
>>41495599
Your question was
>Show me counterexamples of major parties in world history that are to the left of the Democratic party on social issues
And
>Name any prominent parties that win more than 4% of seats in any country that are to the left of the American Democratic party on social issues
And I asked if I could pull from the vast numbers of exactly that, that we proceeded to stomp on.
You did not answer my question.
Are we or are we not counting the countless much further left groups that America squashed in its quest against communism?

because they campaigned on more weapons for Israel, more fracking, and a border wall. people who want those things vote for Republicans. peoples who don't want those things vote for third parties or not at all. ergo, Democrats lose. they're just moderate Republicans.

>on social issues
Ameritarded culture war brainrot, and frankly most social-democratic parties in glorious Evropa, shit as they are, are well to the left of the democrats on social issues as well (democrats don't even support universal paid family leave). Even within the US, DSA (oh it's technically an NGO? who gives a fuck so are the democrats) is well to the left of the dems on every major social issue.
>>41495652
We don't teach historical thinking skills very well so the retard you're replying to is measuring all of those parties by contemporary social standards rather than by how radical they were relative to the time period.
