Man and woman are meaningless labels that tell you nothing about a person, unless you are sexist or transphobic. If anything, all they tell you is what societal injustices or privileges that person was statistically more likely to experience, and even that is meaningless in the face of personal life experience. Why should I care when someone tells me they belong to a group of people? Gender does not define anyone physically, mentally, spiritually, behaviourally, hormonally, subjectively, or objectively. They are just worthless descriptors.I still respect them because I like making people feel nice, but I wish people would stop identifying with arbitrary groups. All this does is perpetuate the injustices and privileges those groups get. The sooner people realize this the sooner society can heal and we can all truly be just ourselves, whatever your labels may be.Can someone shittest my views on the world? Is there anywhere my world views are problematic or harmful to others? How can I improve?
you can't be trans without being sexisttrans women are just misandrists
>>41506441Okay but can you take off the anonymous shitposter persona for this thread please because I did for writing this but also it makes me laugh so feel free to continue being a comedian. Its great and it's why I will always come back to this website. You can pour your heart and soul out and the first response will always be the shitpost intellectual equivalent of a who cares I fucked your mom.Lol.Anyways I have trouble believing you would say this in public so what would you filter it through a social mask to be, if it is your actual beliefs? How do you practice this view in the real world, or is it solely a product of your mind you share anonymously online?Either way thank you for your contribution and feel free to share more.
i don't know what to say OPi agree with you but don't see this ever becoming widely acceptedprobably just going to kill myself
>>41506431>Gender does not define anyone physically, mentally, spiritually, behaviourally, hormonally, subjectively, or objectively.this is what comes from thinking too much and observing too little>physically>hormonallyplease consult the graphs: https://anthro.cs.uni-freiburg.de/#colx=100&coly=13>mentallywomen are generally more empathetic/emotional than men, for better or worse>spirituallyalmost all religions have different practices/expectations for men/women>behaviorallymost people are exclusively heterosexual and choose life partners based on their gender.there are also loads of behaviors that only men or women can do, like impregnate a woman or give birth. even if you make affirming exceptions for trans people, 99.999999999999...% of all pregnancies were carried by people identifying as women>subjectively or objectivelysee above for combination of objective and subjective differences
>>41506569See I don't really need to tackle this because I already discussed it in my OP.See:>"unless you are sexist or transphobic."It's just transphobic here. What else can I really honestly say to your post? Do you expect me to shitpost back or get mad in anger? Also are these your real views or a shitpost? You can be honest because you're anonymous. Someone could even reply to this post lying pretending to be you and say it, and I would never know.Overall, I have trouble understanding your mind, and hope your next response is at least a bit more serious than the meme phrase of "consult the graphs." I'm not here to quote shit other people wrote man you didn't invent that joke so it isn't funny. Please be original when making jokes, at least.
>>41506497I genuinely think trans women transition because women brainwash them to hate men.
>>41506541It does kind of suck, doesn't it?I at least try to not think in labels. You can do the same and then we will be together two steps closer to it. Don't kill yourself.
>>41506604I used to hold views like this when I was younger, but I stopped around the time I was 23. By the time I was 26 I became a gender abolitionist because I had had enough exposure to different people from any one label to realize labels are just kind of dumb and don't inform individual character. Gender is almost analogous to race, in that sense. It has lived experiences, commonality, shared suffering, and privilege, but it is all ultimately something we socially agree to uphold, and we could honestly stop viewing the world in terms of race or gender or sex at any time.I personally have hope. Most people aren't racist anymore. Most people are unfortunately sexist, and a staggering amount are transphobic. But society is improving.Anyways that wasn't really a good reply to your particular post so no they're not and take ur meds schizo etc
>>41506627you cannot believe in gender abolitionism and transgenderism at the same time because the latter relies on gender roles being prescriptive to even existif a man being masculine and feminine at the same time is totally acceptable there's no reason to take estrogen to eliminate the masculine traits
Also I guess part of it is that honestly group label is really political? Whether or not you realize it, sex, race, gender, they're voting blocs *because* they share a common risk for harm, so they have to self identify and group together under our current social systems to enact change and progress for the labels given to each individual voter. But I think insidiously viewing it this way also reveals why labels are perpetuated in society: you're a voting bloc. That's a bit grim, isn't it? Sometimes I think in gender abolitionism in the sense of political manipulation by politicians hoping to keep people divided from more concerning issues. We make a big fuss over issues of race or nationality or gender and then solve those imaginary issues, and really just have nothing done by the end of the day. If we all just agreed to be nice and follow the golden rule of treat others as you would like to be treated, then we would literally live in a perfect society.Don't be selfish. Treat others with the respect *you* deserve.
>>41506633I've had this view before when being a gender abolitionist during my earlier times when I wouldn't really call myself one and still had some views that I now think are bad, and the synthesis I've come to is honestly this: self labeling is just self description, and people should just be left to their own devices to decide happiness for themselves if it is acceptable in polite society. There is nothing impolite about people wanting to physically look like the opposite sex through hormones. I literally could not care less. It does not offend me and I would address any person who was like that and solely like that, with the respect they deserve. This includes iding them as they want to be id'd, and being mature enough to recognize that those identifications do not inform me of anything about their character or life.People are open books and you just gotta read them and be genuine instead of writing schizo fanfic in your head because they had the wrong type of penis or a different skin color. This is how we become adults.
Does anyone think my way of thinking is bad? I've seen a lot of anonymous shitpost reactionary type posts, but if people think I'm genuinely a fucking idiot I'd really like to know. Please critique the fuck out of me.I want to improve.
>>41506431Gender abolition will never happen because it would inevitably undo female privilege, which women will never ever be okay with. Equality ends were women's power over men begins.
>>41507032This is a sexist post. How is bro gonna talk about gender abolitionism and then follow up with "women will never" like :skull: deadass fr fr
TRVKE NVKE
>>41506431Gender is a big meme and I'd just as soon give it up, but trans people lack the privilege to be the vanguard of gender abolition. That's why it's always theyfabs and hons pushing it, the theyfabs are cis and the hons know they'll never be seen as women. Terfs go on about gender not being real, but then scream at trans people to get back in their cages. It's never made intuitive sense to me so I've had to observe why anyone would engage in this strangeness.People seem to enjoy comparing gender war stuff to racism, but they're not the same. Racism has a provable evolutionary benefit. How does hating the other sex help pass on your genes?Feminists crying about their femoid spaces is ridiculous, but then you hear about islamic countries having men only spaces and how the men there feel free to show each other affection, and it's got to make you wonder who's making them feel they can't hold hands and stuff normally. You hear about how men and women interacted so little in ancient greece that they ended up speaking with very different accentsTake the actions of the original suffregettes too. They wanted to vote, but not to be drafted. They didn't want to get rid of gender, the biggest things feminists did was vote in idiots who banned alcohol. Wearing pants wasn't and isn't about removing the divide between penis and vagina or women's pants wouldn't exist. At best it was ftms who couldn't transition being jealous of cis men and that being taken over by magpies who thought it was delightfully transgressive to cosplay their husbandsThe reality is that normies enjoy gender. They can't feel happy without synthetic differences between penis and vaginas. Even incels just want to be treated as real menThat's why being trans is an aesthetic. They can't imagine a penis not liking pastel blue. They literally believe deviants deserve rape as punishment but that we're the freaks. It's their gender world and we're trapped in it
>>41506633People would still use HRT and other "gender affirming" care techniques if they want to change their physical traits to ones they like better.Like, people right now stick metal bits all over their body or even do more radical shit like split their tongue down the middle for aesthetics. HRT isn't even the wildest shit we get up to.I, for one, transitioned because I was looking in the mirror one morning and went, "I think I'd look better with tits." No lie, I have the specific date in my calendar and call it my "tranniversary".
>>41507543you transitioned out of internalized misandry and a belief that males being feminine is wrong
>>41506604And poonahs transition due to women brainwashing women into fighting the "patriarchy"
>>41509478women don't really tolerate lesbians or treat them as womeni think its the parallel counterpart to feminine gay men, when you are a butch lesbian you become expected to meet male and female gender roles, at the same time, which is impossible, which they know is impossible, and will then use against you when you fail
>>41506717I think similarly to you and I don't think it's a bad way of thinking. I think it's healthy and great that you realize gender should not effect how you treat any individual, since you would just be making assumptions about them. I treat people's belief in gender the same as belief in religion or astrology. I'm still polite to people and just like reddit atheist types are assholes and aggressively atheist, some people take gender criticism too far and get labeled as hateful.
>>41506602jesus christ reading this is just-I can feel that you were smirking writing this like some redditor that spent too much time on whatever niche community and now you think you unlocked the truth to trans people and gender.I'm assuming you're the type to think trans people transition out of societal gender expectations that they don't fit with rather than not feeling comfortable in their own body and wanting to transition to making living more comfortable or more bearable?
>>41506604idk if that makes sense, incel to tranny pipeline exists for a reason
