why is spain slept on as one of the best countries to be queer?
Employment situation is not great and it's kind of a shitty place to live unless you're in Madrid, Barcelona hates foreigners and the small towns are bleak, insular, and socially conservativeProbably nice if you're born there and have lots of connections tho

>>41508315i literally just spent a week in the costa del sol and got back to my yellow eastern european hellhole yesterday and got depressed immediately. i would do anything to just stay in spain forever but i know it's not very realistic. from what i hear from foreigners who moved there it's a good place if you already have money and are remotely employed but if you're employed locally and earn a typical spanish wage it's just not really fun. it's a shame because it's an amazing place, i feel so free there. i like that people just don't really pay attention to you in public, coming from a place where existing irl as a visibly lgbt person is an invitation for every 80 IQ alcoholic boomer to hit you with their best 1000 yard stare on their way home to give their wife a black eye i felt much more at ease over there.
