Just to a lesser extent than AGPs do.

Most HSTS score between 2 and 3 on the Core Autogynephilia Scale while AGPs score about 5.

This is what Blanchard himself found.
>>
i am HSTS and i score 315 on the WEIGHT scale!! (i am obese)
>>
most wimbies actually score 5 to 6 on the borbo scale
yes I invented the idea of wimbies and borbos, and made up a bunch of tests to determine if someone's a wimbie or a borbo. These are really serious objective scales though, and if you disagree you're probably a borbo!

The point is that self-proclaimed HSTS need to be having a long hard look at themselves in the mirror, because the data show that they're just as impure as the people they label AGP.
>>
>>41513222
>because the data show
can I see the data?
>>

ALMOST LIKE IT'S NOT A PERFECT DICHOTOMY AND THESE TERMS MEAN ABSOLUTELY. FUCKING. NOTHING.

YOU ARE ALL SO GOD DAMN GULLIBLE
>>
>>41513160
the one true way to categorize hsts vs agp is sexual attraction. if you feel any sexual attraction for women, you are not hsts.

blanchard is a fraud
>>
>>41513287
so if blanchard himself proved that hsts and agp weren't strict categories, how come he insists that they are?
why does he try to rationalize agp as its own transgender etiology rather than just a common characteristic of female sexuality?
>>
>>41513290
This isn't about Blanchard directly.

This is about straight trans women who wield his typology as a cudgel against other trans women.
>>
>>41513316
fair point, that's gay and retarded
I even think there is some distinction between stereotypes and that "AGP" is a real thing experienced by a lot of different people in different ways
>>
i was at my most agp when i was pining for a man, i even ritually shaved my entire body
>>
>>41513160
AGP are obsessed with

- normalizing their heterosexual male fetish by claiming cis women are agp

-imitating women through their crude male understanding of womanhood and femininity

-denying agp exists while claiming women and gay males are agp

Pick a battle
>>
>>41513315
He is gay and retarded
What's true is that as a general trend, androphilic trans women have earlier onset dysphoria and are more behaviorally feminine, and gynephilic trans women have later onset dysphoria and are less behaviorally feminine. Not as two strict binary categories, but trans women tend to cluster around these two points. You can see it on brain scans too.
Why are there two points? That part is up for debate, and to a 20th century psychologist, everything is about sex. The answer is AGP or HSTS, are you a gay men who is such a faggot that you troon out to get access to straight ("masculine") men? Or a straight man with an extreme crossdressing fetish?

In his 1985 paper (https://doi.org/10.1007/bf01542107), Blanchard found that 15% of homosexual transsexuals acknowledged a history of cross-gender fetishism, specifically feeling sexually aroused while cross-dressing. He also wrote that all potential subjects who reported feeling like a woman for at least a year also reported feeling sexually aroused when wearing women's underwear or clothing.

Yet, in his "GID in males" text (http://individual.utoronto.ca/ray_blanchard/GID_Men.pdf), he wrote:
>Cross-dressing in homosexual gender dysphorics is not
sexually arousing, either in childhood or later.

So, Ray, which is it?
>>
>>41514344
Feeling aroused while crossdressing is not the same as feeling aroused BY crossdressing.
>>
>>41514369
A distinction without a difference.
>>
>>41514384
They're very different things.
