how come you never see any mtfs talk about having phantom vagina syndrome...?
>>
>>41523639
There is fat around my pubic region despite being anorexic and it came from hrt
>>
>phantom penis gets itchier during exam time
I will never be as trans as this person
>>
>>41523639
I literally do I've had it since as far back as I can remember at 3-4 years old
>>
>>41523649
what a fucking liar lmao
>>
maybe because anyone who does gets called a liar or a fetishist or whatever hmm
>>
>>41523653
prove it?
>>
>>41523639
I had that before srs, It felt like i could feel where my vagina was supposed to be, or like, there was one there but buried under my flesh? IDK it was weird I was getting a little strange before i got surgery.

Also, The person in picrel seems to have either a UTI or Yeast Infection. Vulvar irritation that increases under stress or when sitting/putting on pants should be assessed by a medical professional..
>>
>>41523639
i'll never understand penis envy
>>
>>41523639
Because it doesn't exist, and neither does phantom penis syndrome in FTMs. It's part the AGP/AAP fantasy of "really" being the opposite sex: they must deny that they were ever "truly" their birth sex.
>>
>>41523639
Thought it was a post by mtf post op at first lol
>>
>41523639
I believe r/TransMasc user u/CockamouseGoesWee is telling the truth about his should-be-there dingdong.
>>
>>41523639
I talked about phantom boobs.
>>
They certainly do. Just not usually right away or unprompted.
>>
>>41523703
you know, prior to the discovery of the neurological basis of phantom limb in general, people thought it was just insanity brought on by trauma and difficulty adjusting to amputation.
>>
>>41525803
Nearly all pre-op trans people with "phantom [opposite sex genitals] syndrome" did not have the body part in question amputated.
>>
>>41523639
Uhh you do. I have had it most of my life and when I finally cracked and started talking to tranners I quickly found others. its pretty embarrassing tho, not something you lead with.
>>
>>41525815
Sure. But phantom limb doesn't just occur in people who have had a limb amputated. Congenital amputees who never even developed a limb sometimes have phantoms as well.

I read a story by VS Ramachandran once where he talked about a patient of his who was a congenital amputee and had phantom arms that was much shorter than her arms would be expected to be if she'd had them. Because you often need a phantom to easily operate prosthetics, she had to get her prosthetic arms made super short in a way that other people found weird and off-putting, just so they fit her phantoms properly and she could use them.

nervous systems are crazy anon. they can do all sorts of completely wild shit and break in weird ways. I wouldn't believe a human could have a fucked-up partial proprioceptive map of a cat or a dragon in there, but bits of another pattern of human sex development? sure.
>>
i see them all the time, retard. the real answer is that OP is blind and/or illiterate
>>
>>41523639
literally it happens all the time lol what
>>

>I wouldn't believe a human could have a fucked-up partial proprioceptive map of a cat or a dragon in there
a cat or a dragon, no
parts of a lemur-like ancestor that the person conceptualizes as cat-like or dragon-like because they don't hang out with lemurs, i could believe that

interestingly one of the early phantom limb researches was basically convinced of the validity of trans people based on the fact that we don't get phantom sensations

>interestingly one of the early phantom limb researches was basically convinced of the validity of trans people based on the fact that we don't get phantom sensations
Yup, that's V.S. Ramachandran. he also did a study on possible neurological correlates with gender fluidity, and it's not like trans shit is what he's well-known for or anything, or like anyone socially rewarded caring about us, at the time. I was always so touched he gave a shit, when I was a little trans highschooler in the 00s. He and Oliver Sachs were what made me want to study neuro in college.

>t. post trans girl who does not have a phantom penis
yeah, you know when I had surgery I was just so desperate to get it done--it didn't even occur to me until years afterwards that hey, phantoms are a concern when you remove a body part like that. they are for many cis women who also have to get a bilateral mastectomy. I never got anything of the sort. it felt alien while it was attached to me, and my body felt more whole afterwards, not less.

>>41526284
maybe! I wonder about some of the body integrity disorder people. They're roundly mocked and used as a talking point, but honestly, I think it's totally plausible for some of them to have a neurological issue. there's much weirder neurological problems than that.
>>
>>41526576
yeah it's also very difficult for me to completely say body integrity disorder people are crazy after what I've been through, and although my arm seems a lot more useful than my penis, there's a lot of people who would tell me the penis is super-useful and I was crazy to let it be removed
and I haven't really read up on it but I have to imagine they struggle the same way I do with things like the fact that I want children but intentionally removed the parts that make them out of some belief that the only way I should have children is growing them inside me and if that's impossible so be it.
I mean a lot of the reason being transgender sucks is societal and self-inflicted (by us as a society), but there's a lot that just inherently is unfair about our bodies. And not having an arm has a lot of inherent annoyances, to say the least, but if it's the only way to make your brain shut up I can understand that feeling.

When I woke up from surgery I was confused for like a day. It felt like a horribly tight tuck. But then basically as soon as I saw it and could touch it the feeling wore off and never returned. And I read these stories about these men who have had their penis blown off or amputated or whatever and I just can't relate.
I always imagined I should have breasts and should have a vagina and could never explain why. Probably why I hated mirrors for most of my life. I always used to cover my penis in the bath tub with the wash cloth if I would just lay there and relax.
One of the most freeing aspects of SRS is that I can enjoy being naked now. Bathing and sleeping are obvious, but I love just being able to walk around and stretch or stand in front of the mirror without a compulsion to hide that thing. Also good sex pretty much requires that you're comfortable enough with your body to share it with someone which would've been impossible before
>>
I do. When I'm aroused I feel blood rush to where my vagina should be. I feel like I automatically expect that to be where I'm supposed to be touched. If my bf brushes it with his cock or his fingers it often makes me moan really loudly/involuntarily, cus for a brief second it feels like I'll finally be penetrated the right way
It's incredibly frustrating and I hate it. I have always had a really hard time having sex and it makes me feel so sad. I wish I could afford srs. The thing hanging from my body is like a body horror movie it's disgusting and I hate it.

A vagina is a hole, it doesn't "feel" like anything
>>
>>41523639
srrrry 4 detail but whenever i’ve sexted guys and they talk abt how they’d fuck me id get like feelings where it’s supposed to be and then i wanna kms cus i remember im still pre surg
>>
>>41523639
i had a dream where i had a vagina and was getting fucked by my husband, woke up sad and with a heavy tingly sensation in my crotch.
also the girls that get it are most likely to get SRS.
