Update your CV and refresh your LinkedIn profile.

At your next quarterly performance feedback, unfortunately there will be a lot of complaints about your work performance, your teamwork and social cohesion, so they must let you go - in this economy unfortunately everyone needs to downsize, hope you understand. Your box has already been prepared by security, and if you could be as kind as to sign your notice of leave, the Corporation can gracefully let you take an unpaid leave of absence on your notice period.

Looool
Kiss both of those goodbye, since they'll make you sign a paper that you left on your own volition. Corpos never terminate employees.

> And if I refuse
They'll either make your life a living hell until you agree to leave yourself, or threaten to sue you. Both has happened to me, and I tend to be careful.

But like you, I'm a huge hon.
>>
>>41527333
yay the good ending
>>
>>41528208
im not in the us though i 100% believe that the worst case scenario is they fire me with cause (they say my performance is not up to par or whatever) in which case i still get some severance and unemployment. it might get rough but it's really not going to go as badly as you're making it out anonette

> I warned you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you knew it all, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little bunny, isn't it? Well, it's always the same. I always tell them--

I really, really hope you're right and I'm wrong.

another "europoor" here, its almost tragic how americans just cant even imagine what its like to live in a safe and civilized society where your employer cant just fuck you over with no consequence, and where even if they try youre still fine

Let me guess, you are an union member in a large city in France, Spain or N-Europe, right?
And you think nothing can go at you?
Think again.
I've seen corpos close down whole sites (as in several offices in cities, removing their presence from a country) because they were unionized.
You think your country can stay green?
US people thought also.

t. fellow yuropoor in a yellow country.
>>
>>41528567
im in a green country. i mean, anything can happen but if i focus on the wors case scenario all the time im just gonna make things worse.

real. i think the worst part about being in that yellow central/eastern european area on this map is that you're essentially a sort of nearshoring colony of western europe. western corpos provide all the actual well-paid job opportunities, run the entire food supply chain selling you worse products in supermarkets for the same price if not more and just generally restructure the economy as they like. my country made it a lot easier to fire people earlier this year and extended the statutory probationary periods, workers' rights are being decimated while westerners gloat about how much money they're saving by employing people here instead of in france or germany. it's a race to the bottom because there's always somewhere cheaper and easier to exploit people in, once albania and other small balkan states get brought into the EU they're gonna become the new offshoring destinations (already are tbhon) and we'll all have to compete with them too.

> once albania and other small balkan states get brought into the EU they're gonna become the new offshoring destinations
Infrastructure development, value for money, level of unionization, environmental regs and government stability are the name of the game for nearshoring/friendshoring operations. Also the hosts are typically US corpos, and not Western European.
Take eg. Hungary:
> Infrastructure development
Hungary has more motorways than even developed Western countries, making truck logistics trivial. Drawback: their rail is dog shit. This is what is bad on the Balkans, and that's why factories won't move there.
> value for money
Hungary has west-equivalent talent for Western minimum wages. In Budapest, a Western low end white collar worker's wage buys you an experienced professional. And their currency is deprecating (in the Balkans, the currency is usually pegged to the Euro - Montenegro uses the Euro, Serbia uses the Euro de facto, and denars are pegged to the euro, albania's currency is stable to strengthening against the euro while hungary's currency is artificially deprecated vs the euro.)
> environmental regs
You thought the EU had the same level of environmental regs? Think again. If you pay, the local government will let you pollute as much as you want.
> government stability
Hungary: Always pay the ruling party. Balkans: constant infighting.
> level of unionization
Hungary: Unions banned. Balkans: minimal unionization.

Were you already on HRT? Did you pick a new name?
Congrats. I came out at work a few weeks ago. Everyone was supportive.
