I have not left the same place I was born over 33 years ago. I have not even left the US. Leaving your area of birth does not do anything constructive, it only diminishes your voice as more migration clusters your voice into a smaller area that can easily be genocided.
I’m trans in Arkansas, the NW is nice but I was outed to my parents and have been with them in the middle of the state for months. This absolutely sucks, the social climate isn’t good for me here. I know that OP is speaking comparatively, but your situation being so much worse doesn’t make mean this is easy here
