I see a lot of people mention how many trans girls don't change any of their hobbies after transitioning and they still hang out in what are effectively male dominated spaces so what is a hobby a girl could pick up? Have you got yourself into anything new to be more feminine, bar the obvious like makeup or dressing in a more girly way?
>>41567111idk i dropped most of my male hobbies, they just dont appeal to me. Video games have been replaced with drawing. for instance. My love for history has morphed from wanting to be a historian to being a history teacher.
>>41567111Some female dominated hobbies:>Crocheting and knitting>Reading>Writing fiction or fanfiction>Yoga>Gardening>Singing>Dancing>Cooking, baking>>41567136Most historians are women, that's just sexist lol
>>41567111I got really into making perfumes, given I was a chemist by trade it wasn't hard to pick up. You just need oils and perfuming alcohol. After that it's playing with scents. They make great gifts and plus you get to smell nice :)))
>>41567111Being scared to do a hobby because it might be gender coded is retarded and makes a person less mature, confident and secure in themselves.I used to feel pressured to take up woman coded hobbies (reading, writing, cooking) in order to pass better but it felt so fake (reading is still fire ngl), especially when you can find cis women in just about any man coded hobby as well. I did end up quitting video games but probably more out of a desire to focus on career and enjoying life instead of escaping. And I did pick up computer science and music performance because I found it genuinely interesting to dive into.Fuck what people think, do what interests you even if it’s video gaming, or car mechanics, or gunpla.
>>41567111most of my hobbies are sporty stuff and there’s a lot of women that do that but sporty women hate trannies
>>41567544>Being scared to do a hobby because it might be gender coded is retarded and makes a person less mature, confident and secure in themselves.>Fuck what people think, do what interests you even if it’s video gaming, or car mechanics, or gunpla.Im sorry I didnt really mean to insinuate otherwise. I agree with you fully but I was just thinking that it would probably help my mental state starting a hobby that I had previously never touched before transition, like maybe something i had never found interesting beforehand might have become weirdly appealing without me realising
>>41567199i read absurd quantities does this make me fembrained
>>41569541I mean yeah that’s fair. If I can brainstorm ideas:>Murder mysteries/horror flicks>Sewing>Psychology/behavioral science>photography/film>book clubs>community support/volunteer work>drawing>nursing/baby sitting>karaoke
>>41567111I watch college and professional football, and I discuss it mainly with other trans women and cis guys who are chill. I’ve done some minor DIY work on my car (which I never did pretransition) and my GF said it was hot watching me get all sweaty while working on it. I learned to cook from my dad because he found that meals brought the family together and he didn’t me to be useless in the kitchen like his parents were. I don’t need to change my interests to fit in, and while I don’t share too many interests with my GF (she enjoys vidya and old-school gay media and 90s cartoons), we get along through a shared sense of humor and an ability to vibe together.
i used to do chemistry to make fuel, and now i make skin care products
>>41567274haha guess im not the only one
I stopped playing Paradox games online mainly nglWas good at them but fuck dealing with the players as a tranny
>>41570744normal women deal with this by pretending to be men, not super hard
>>41570781That's complicated on voice chat which is mandatory for weekly organised games with 20 or so playersDiplomacy is super important
