I'm a depressed cis man who has been taking HRT for several weeks and my mood, mental health, and ability to function started rapidly improving recently.
Is this just honscience placebo or something else or is estrogen actually doing something

Estrogen has known anti-depressant effects. Having positive results with it doesn't meant you have any gender-fuckery going on.
