does anyone on this board live in the netherlands? i might be moving there (to utrecht specifically) for university next year but i wanna know what the tranny scene/culture is like compared to the US. i don’t wanna get there and find out that like, everyone is reddit or something
>>41677959There is no trans culture.
>>41677959>tranny scene/culturewhat do u mean by that specifically? mainland euro trans culture is more assimilationist than US trans culture meaning less ketamine polycule orgies
>>41677988aka not hystrionic agp gooners
>>41677959Do Dutch trannies listen to Snollebollekes?
>>41677959I think people here are mostly just normal but idk about the cities
>>41677959In the Netherlands men and women are expected to be equally responsible. Going Dutch and splitting the bill is normal and relying on men is weird. Women wear jeans and talk with deep voices. Because it is more accepting of different degrees in masculinity and feminity almost the whole trans population assimilates. There is no fake gender revolution because there are no strict gender rules.
isn’t europe more transphobic than usa
>>41678042You might be surprised to learn that the Dutch protocol was invented in the Netherlands.
>>41678042not even close
>>41678042No, the UK is quite transphobic but here the people who care the most are feminists (and therefore retarded) whereas far right men care more about immigrants (as they should). Mainland Western/northern Europe is definitely more accepting on average than the US
>>41678042You're right the US is the most diverse, least racist, least sexist, least transphobic, most democratic, and only free place on earth. Every American and war refugee agrees.
>>41678115The US actually might be the most diverse country on earth, they just all hate each other
>>41677988i think where i'm coming from is that in my experience living in a city in the US trans people stick together a lot and bc of that there is definitely a pervasive culture surrounding stuff like music, politics, media, and yeah all the stereotypes like t4t, polyamory, drugs, etc... so i guess i'm mostly just wondering what life is like there for trannies, and i ask about culture because that has been big factor in my experience. it sorta feels like in the US being trans affects basically every part of your life but if that's less the case in other countries it makes sense there would be less of a shared experience so maybe my question doesn't have a good answer
>>41678176Maybe on account of it being a federated continent. Many Euro cities rank as some of the most diverse in the world. But Midwest Americucks keep telling themselves they're so diverse too.
>>41678199you're going to find that many european trans girls are just like cis girls. some won't have a single trans coded hobby and many will have no trans friends
>>41678199You could go to some specific trans events or bars, lots of expats though.
there is no trans culture, if you can't fit in with "normal" cis people you're going to be very lonely and alienated, especially if you live outside of a major city like I do.t. lonely and alienated tranner in the north east
>>41678584I thought living in the north east was just miserable regardless
>>41678042lmao not at allit's mainly anglosphere that's going nuts about trannies recentlythe rest of the world is just being normal
>>41677959the whole LGBT scene is somewhat intertwined with club culture.
I'm American and moved to NL but I don't know any other troons :(
>>41679087True lol but I'm trapped here, please save me
>>41679683I live near Helmond so idk if I'd wish that on someone
