Are there any real, proven methods to exert more control over your dreams?
Or at least to choose what you dream about?
If I could dream about becoming who I really want to be, I would feel much better.

Let's discuss techniques, food, and anything else that can help us achieve our goals and conquer the realm of dreams.

I personnaly had vivid dream by consuming cheese before going to sleep, but nothing to change my body in them yet :(

my mother taught me to vivid dream when i was really young, she was like obsessed with it in college, neuroscience major.
She taught me to look at my hands when you realize things are strange. It might make you wake up at first if you're a light sleeper, or if you're having a nightmare, but as you keep practicing it will just make you aware and your surroundings malleable.
This kind of backfired for me and now my dreams are insanely intense and symbolic for me so i smoke weed every night before bed to avoid them.

Interesting. I think the most difficult part of this method would be making it a habit and remembering to practice it.
Any tips?

Personally, the more emotions I experience during the day, the more vivid my dreams become.

do it in real life when you're feeling upset, and you'll do it instinctively. when you look down in your dream, you'll just feel it click. I've never had it not work

Also, for some reason for me, an easy trigger for nightmares is getting a little cold, even slightly.
If a part of my shoulder touches the cold air outside, it's enough to give me vivid (and quite terrific) nightmares.
Do you think there is something to gain in voluntarily inducing nightmares?

I'll look onto that.
Cheese good :)
