>be boymoder
>forgot to brush hair last night
>go to sleep
>wake up
>get ready to take shower
>left side of hair has small matts
>”oh no worries, ill just brush it out”
>somehow during the attempt to brush out matted hair the small matts turn into a big Matt that encompasses over half the hair on the left side of my head
>it doesn’t get better
>brush hair while crying for literally 6 hours and it doesn’t get any better

guys what do i do ive never had a matt like this and its not getting any better ive been crying and on the verge of a mental breakdown please help me i dont understand why this happened i was having such a good morning and it all went to shit so quick

all because i forgot to brush my hair last night im gonna kms
>>
Shut the fuck up you soft sissy faggot holy shit
>>
The easiest way to untangle long hair is rinsing it under cold water
>>
>>41690007
How do you brush? lots of conditioner and in the shower
is it straight hair or curly?
>>
>>41690007
you can not get matted hair from one night of not brushing it. detangle gently and slowly starting from the bottom with a wetbrush, and if you really need to then rinse it cold beforehand. you're going to be fine.

im sorry i just was having a good morning i woke up early and was ready to be productive but instead i cried in my bathroom till 1pm
its 2:40pm now and im still in the bathroom i just don’t have the energy to cry anymore

>>41690032
ive tried this as after unsuccessfully trying to get the matts out for 6 hours i just took the shower i wanted to take 6 hours ago but getting it wet with cold water didn’t seem to help much, i still have this huge mass of hair that doesnt go away

>>41690057
i have a detangling brush and im trying to start as low as possible from the root/where the matting starts, i sadly do not have any conditioner right now ive been out for a while and i think its causing my hair to be dryer than usual which i think may be a contributing factor here

it’s kinda curly but not super curly just curly enough to have some waves as it goes down the lengths, my hair is almost to my belly button if that makes a difference. it can be really unwieldy sometimes but it’s never been this bad : ((( im so scared i might just have to cut it
>>
>>41690087
but that appears to be the case here, i last brushed it before i went to go do some stuff in town yesterday and before that when i woke up that morning…i always try to brush it when i wake up and go to sleep at least…

i think i may have been rolling around in my sleep or something idk

ill follow your advice though and try to be slow, thank you for giving advice because this has really upset me today I’ve basically been fixating on it since 7am
>>
>>41690007
>all because i forgot to brush my hair last night
>last night
last weeks right?
if you have straight or wavy hair, brush it dry with a lot of conditioner
if curly, brush wet with a lot of conditioner
use a detangler hair brush/tangle teezer
start brushing from bottom to top
you probably wont be able to detangle all of it by just brushing. separate your hair into small sections and try to pull it apart with both hands. DO NOT pull hait from your roots. yes, your hair will break
>>
>>41690142
>i sadly do not have any conditioner right now
Well there's your problem. Retard. You need conditioner for long hair, it's not optional.
Tie your hair back and put on a hat/hoodie, go to the store, and get some hair conditioner. Get your hair wet, put lots of conditioner in, working into the matted parts especially. Let it soak for a few minutes, and then you'll be able to start brushing it out. And work on the ends first; if you try to brush it out all at once from your scalp, you'll just pull the knots tighter.
>>
yeah welcome to "boys with long hair."
pro-tip fucking lather your hair clean every day ESPECIALLY if you can or do wear it up. Once it gets shitty it's just going to get harder and harder to clean and work out.
I tried to donate my hair when it got long (but I'm mtf? don't question me) and the stupid mat kind of ruined the wig I was trying to make.
Also just buy a new brush if yours looks like Hollownest or whatever
>>
>>41690007
in the shower get your hair all wet and work some conditioner into it and let it sit for a few minutes. then while running your hair under the water work you way from the bottom outside edge up and in. take your time and work slowly. idk if it'll help but it's worked for me
>>
>>41690190
nooo i promise i brush my hair twice a day why does no one believe me : ((
i will get conditioner and try this though
>>
>>41690007
>shampoo and conditioner in shower (maui is good, davines is better)

>dont rinse out all of the conditioner in your hair

>once out of shower spray leave in conditioner

>brush starting from the ENDS and then working your way up

>repeat every 2-3 days

also why would you go here for hair advice most of the people here have rly bad frizzy hair just use a cis platform??? boymoders dont have different hair than anyone else
>>
welcome to tits, your hair is a resource you must protect.
if your hair needs to behave, conditioner and brush sure. if your hair is too heavy just shampoo and wash out the conditioner, but that takes a while for conditioner to build up

i know i am a professional retard i try my best, i should have gotten more conditioner a while ago ive just been in a rut im sorry
i will probably do this if i dont make progress soon as im getting desperate and increasingly prone to break down and start crying again, thank you for the advice i really appreciate it
>>
>>41690300
my reddit account got banned so idk any other places i could go to for hair advice and i dont have anyone irl to ask because im a khhv shut in loser
but i will try this with the conditioner thank you for the afvice
>>

>also why would you go here for hair advice most of the people here have rly bad frizzy hair just use a cis platform??? boymoders dont have different hair than anyone else
Because basic hair care is AGP or something. IDK I'm not OP. I swear trannies here will say wearing shoes with laces is AGP just as an excuse for why they can't tie them.

just use google ppl have had matted hair b4 and theyve asked the same questions... also if u havent been maintaining ur hair well for a while u get split ends.

haircuts are non-negotiable parts of hair care as well as conditioner, go to a good hairdresser and pay more than 100 dollars for ur haircut and get a wolf cut or something cuz its easy to grow out into any style and its kinda unisex
>>
>>41690142
A few problems here,

1. Hair should not tangle unless its split, get yourself to a stylist asap

2. If your hair is actually wavy/curly brushing it while dry will cause damage

3. When you brush, go ends to root, not root to ends. This avoids undue damage to tangled bits

4. Please start using a conditioner or haur mask or both
>>
>>41690344
I unironically got called agp on here the other day for having a hair routine for curly hair
>>
>>41690374
i haven’t had a hair cut in over 2 years because im scared to go there but i think at this point i need to, its completely overdue

>>41690393
yeah i do have a lot of split ends….i really need to get my hair cut i have no excuses
i will get conditioner today i promise
>>
>>41690458
Remember the ONLY way to fix split ends is to cut it off. Don't be a hair repper
>>
>>41690476
i know…im just terrified of going to the stylist for stupid reasons…i think next time i go i am finally gonna go get bangs even as a boymoder because i cant take this shit anymore i really cannot

Can /lgbt/ actually muscle into fashion?
/fa/ is 98% gay men leaning /fit/ adacent with zero women's fashion. /cgl/ actually has a dedicated cross-dress cosplayer general and there's no drama.
R*ddit plague upon it has like one really weak corset sub and I think waist training might be highly underrated.
>>
>>41690007
If it's really bad then you should go in with your fingers. Takes forever but it's way easier on your hair then trying to get a comb through it, especially with curly hair
>>
>>41690142
what type of bristle r u using? if ur using a tangle teezer type thing thats rlly good. u just cant use any soft bristles on tangled or wet hair.
u need to work at the ends first. if its rlly bad go at like literally the VERY end and work incrementally. u obviously need conditioner that is absolutely ur problem. u can put some product ON the comb then work thru ur hair w it like that and it’ll spread it easily. i like doing that. u can try a detangler but idfk desu i dont like a lot of them they dont work for me but i had a friend who used them.

get a silk pillowcase too

also what is ur hairtype. like the number and the letter. u need that if u want good advice
>>
>>41690593
it’s so thick it’s literally like a ball I can’t even put my fingers through it…I feel so stupid I don’t understand how this happened it went from two small matts to this large unruly matt the size of my hand : (((
>>
If someone at least perfected /tttt/ fashion and cooked up a dress outfit (cinced waist, very wide collar, bra, modest skirt) and had a simple leggings test then you could start quantifying hopeful passables. Have a link for a few makeup guides. That way if captain sperg wants to transition for good or ill either way he could know if he could pass in an instant instead of gambling away months.
>>
>>41690595
it’s a brush like the tangle teezer so at least i have that

ive been trying to work on the ends but its literally like a ball, like the matted area is half the length of my normal non matted areas if that makes sense, its literally a big ball
conditioner is my issue im going to go down to the store here soon to get some and hopefully that helps otherwise im just gonna cry in a ball all day, ive never had it be this bad before : (((
>>
>>41690633
ive been on HRT since i was 16 i don’t care about passing right now i just want this stupid evil matt out of my hair asap

although a /tttt/ guide like that would be mega based
>>
/g/ has the gentoo wiki or whatever which is old and obscure but still has a good list of cultivated recommended software.
I have flats and bra brands I would recommend myself. Thong? Victoria's Secret. Bra? Pepper. And a solid piece of advice is "are you actually too poor to transition?" and telling someone a good bra costs like $60.

hair masks, satin bonnet and satin pillow case, learn to calmly open your hair with your fingers if its that bad before brushing. knots represent tightly sealed energy.
>>
>>41690667
>>41690667
yeah ur not gonna be able to do it without conditioner lol you’ll make it worse. esp if it’s that matted. i would not start with a small brush/comb if its thick u need to use ur fingers or a wide tooth comb first. like until ur able to run ur fingers thru ur hair ok enough without a ton of resistance. u can also try pulling it apart to loosen it rather than just through. but it will be literally useless without conditioner u rlly don’t have anything tho?? u dont live w anyone u can borrow from?? not even a leave in? not even an oil? ur literally cooked without conditioner go buy some and figure ur hair type out
>>
>>41690772
I might get a bonnet later.
>>
>>41690667
also make sure ur drinking enough fucking water i know everyone on here is probably retarded and chronically dehydrated as fuck. esp if ur on spiro. literally drink like 2 gallons of water a day not even kidding it makes ur hair and skin so nice and plumps ur facial fat and it’s basically nessecary
>>
idk how women can actually get fat when corsets exist and they look so good
>>
>>41690142
Shut the fuck up you pussy faggot you don't have real problems grow some balls
