With modern medicine and everything being old isn't even that bad, it only gets really bad in very advanced age when mobility becomes an issue, cognitive decline might be progressing, etc.

Preventative steps, because your body isn't as resilient as it used to be, or you become forgetful. It diminishes your enjoyment of the things that you used to spontaneously take pleasure in. Maybe your perspective changes with finding someone to grow old together, or with parenthood, but those just aren't in the cards for me.
