Day 150 of taking testosterone in order to further feminize myself, by having my SHBG bind to it instead of to my estradiol.

Why not take boron instead?

It was easier to convince my endo to give me T.
>>
Topical? Cream or gel? Dosing timing?

Gel, half a pump daily.
>>
how is it working

you can buy boron without a prescription

No noticeable masculinization. Boobs are a little bigger. I've been sleeping better, too.

sex hormone binding globulin is a molecule in the blood that regulates hormones levels. SHBG binds to sex hormones which makes them unable to bind to nuclear receptors in the cell.
if you have high levels of shbg, it means your sex hormones will be less able to do work, but they'll still show up on blood tests which can be inconvenient. Personally a while ago I was having trouble because I was having symptoms that I get when my estrogen is too low like rough skin, and increasing the dosage wasn't helping. What did help was taking boron, because boron unbinds hormones from shbg.

Sex hormone binding globulin. The T and E2 you get back on your labs are not the actual amounts of T and E2 available for masculinization or feminization. Most of that is bound to SHBG and won't do anything. Free T and free E2 are what matter. SHBG has stronger binding affinity for T than it does for E2.

does oral estrogen produce this in the liver or is that a different hormone?
>>
>>41703949
no, that's unrelated. SHBG is produced in the liver, but it doesn't depend on how you take estrogen
it's not something you should worry about unless you know your dose and levels are good, and you aren't getting the effects you expect.

wasn't it that SHBG increases with E but always in a way where you still get the E being there and working and doing feminization
also anyway you don't need much E at all for feminization, source: cis female puberty?
you just need to not have high T
>>

ive read that levels from oral estrogen aren't reliable because something the liver produces that makes less of the estrogen that shows up in bloodtests functionally useable
>>
>>41704357
it doesn't really matter because there's no reason to take estrogen orally anyway
