I find monster interesting because it changed demographics kinda quickly. Like in the 2000s it was very much for white trash and douchebags, it had an edgy numetal sort of vibe, and the satanic numerology and stuff. Red bull seemed a lot more popular, it was a more established brand and had a more refined feeling. Monster also has big cans and very sweet strong flavors, which makes it seem trashy and crude. But in 2018 someone invented the "30 year old boomer who still drinks monster" meme, right at the beginning of the boomer wojak meme, years before basedjaks existed. And the joke was literally that only 30 year olds (old people) still drank monster. And also that's when the word "zoomer" was first invented, as the opposite to the boomer. But because of that, suddenly monster was in the most popular meme at the time, and it became funny and ironic to drink monster. And so then it got adopted as like a boymoder tranny meme because the perception of monster was that it was a really masculine and crude product so it was funny for boymoders to drink it. And now it's kinda just absorbed into culture and the older stereotypes aren't as strong.
