What is a good career to get into as a tranny? I was thinking about getting into nursing, but I'm not sure if I would be better off with an office job or something
>>41893578usually its nursing for trannies (im gonna be going to college for it soon)
imo office job is the one thing I wouldn't wanna do, especially as a trannytoo normal of people there
>>41893578depending on the field/industry, the more people you interact with, the greater chance of getting clocked (if you pass) or getting outright misgendered (if you dont pass).corporate office work is mostly stable and fine enough in my experience
>>41893653>>41893661So what kind of job exactly would you recommend?
>>41893678Troll Toll collector
>>41893678i work in finance. if i were to go back to school, id probably do accounting only since you can get a job basically anywhere with a CPA. most people working in accounting are normal and nice, and the technology is old so if youre younger than 35, you can excel with pretty basic computer skills
>>41893578Bedside nursing has rough hours, I tried being a nurse’s aide and ended up burning out. Now, I’m trying to start a tech career. There are two confirmed trans women at my current workplace lol.
firefighter
>>41893710I have a friend that can't get a job after graduating college for accounting. She said something about AI doing her job and she can't find anyone that will hire her fresh out of college.
>>41897840that's insane. do you know if she was tax or audit? or if she was just trying to get a job with a major firm?guess at some point, ill probably working at an amazon warehouse when my job & degree end up obsolete too
How do you feel about mathematics? If you can at least tolerate it, I'd highly recommend physics and/or computer science. I can convince you through rambling if you'd like./r9k/ male though
Have you considered nuclear engineering? The workforce is very old and there is a possibility of growth in the industry.
any recommendations for someone who can't stand math and would rather go hungry than work for some evil corporation
>>41898266Gas turbine mechanic, you can work in modern natural gas fired power or aircraft
>>41898272maybe i am just too picky but there is just no way i'm going to be a mechanic either lol cryingemoji
>>41898282i am half joking, idk nursing seems good(but yes if anyone wants to be the second tranny to work at power plants after me that would be great)
>>41898282really though, just pick a practical education (there are a lot of cheap options now, I go to CC and you can even clear courses with AP tests now). Being certified and knowing how to talk to the people you will be working with go a long way from being some rando.
>>41898266I won't push it, but... I'd urge you to at least try math before you completely dismiss it as something you aren't good at.Most people's experience with it is being forced to memorize one hundred equations by someone who hates their life in high school, but I actually think many imaginative people could be great at it if they take it from a more natural angle.Mechanic sounds rad too though lol
is being an emt/paramedic ok for a tranny
>>41898365You just need to be good at practical math, i struggle with math in engineering school but its way above what anyone ever does on the job or studying for a technician job (and I was a solid C student in high school). It takes practice but its genuinely one of the best skills you can have, so take the pain.
>>41898365i tried it in school. i hate math, 100%. you're not gonna get me to miraculously somehow like math i hate it and i am terrible at it and that's fine. really dumb comment
my big problem is that my dream is to be a kindergarten teacher but being a tranny kindergarten teacher is such a horrible idea isn't it. i'm just inviting harassment. but i'm not passionate about anything else. it makes me so sad it's so unfair because if i was a cis woman i could just do that and everyone would encourage me and be happy about it and there'd be nothing to worry about (except for money) and it'd be amazing, but because i'm trans it's like i'm not allowed the whole world would try to kill me.
>>41898464Its alright if you hate it, but its reality. No matter what career you pick I guarantee if its not a requirement there will at least be a lot of situations where having some sense of it will help you. I hate math class too but its worth it.
>>41898493Are there any other tranny teachers? Maybe in some places it works for them.
>>41898563maybe. i wouldn't really know. maybe if i move to like, san francisco or something.
>>41898602if its your dream i think having to choose a specific location is very worth it
>>41898253Yeah got a job I was nowhere near qualified for because of the void boomers are leaving in nuclear. Now I just have to gather the courage to actually come out at work
>>41893578Yes
>>41893630Bs it is usually whore >>41898266TradwifeAlso, same thing
>>41898633lol nice, what do you do?(also how long do you think this period will fast, I gotta finish college first)
>>41893710Nta obviously. How the fuck do people work in finance, accounting, and similar fields? The one time I tried I was bored to tears and realized if this were my job, I would either rope or suffer a breakdown and fuck off to shear sheep in the mountains.
>>41898688some people are just very tolerant of boredome
>>41898683I ended up as a project manager for nuclear software in the waste cleanup part, boom will probably last at least 20 more years or so but at least right this moment we arent hiring at all because of congress funding battles
>>41898738ok cool, I may stay in college for a long time (I want my pronouns to be Dr/PHD) and even if I don't I will be a loser probably for the remainder of trumps term.
>>41893578Compsci seems popular.
>>41898820I think its rather competitive, you are competing with every autistic transbian and chinese guy on the planet. I think other fields of engineering can be a little more reliable but with a lower success ceiling.
>>41898804Word of advice but only go PhD in nuclear if you are looking to get a job at PNNL, SRNL, or LLNL. Otherwise you are spending way more time in school than you need for no extra pay
>>41898848Not even INL or Sandia?
>>41898859I always forget about those, yeah those work too
>>41898867Let me guess, Hanford cleanup?
I'm an LPN one day I want to be an RN but I don't have the time to go to school for it
>>41898893Yeah lol
>>41898924see you in a few years then
>>41898985You already in the area? If you want to network early Im down
>>41899060No i live in socal lol, thank you though I kinda don't have any contact with the industry
>>41899066My discord is onions-heist (without the - ) if you want to connect, I probably cant helo you for a few years lol but I know a bit about what they are looking for in resumes and interviews
>>41899212Also I forgot about the word filter
>>41899212>>41899227it is sent, i am the asdas account
>>41893578I'm mtf and an rn (registered nurse). I mostly pass, nursing isn't bad as you can become an rn with two years of community college, get a job in lots of places, it pays a decent wage. As far as trans stuff, I think scrubs generally help with passing, depending on where you work there are a lot of old people who are way easier to pass to. Normal schedule for bedside nursing is 3 12 hour shifts a week, but lots of cool options exist. You can do 9-5 office work as a nurse, or work in a doctors office, or do a ton of different stuff. Nursing is super versatile and I'd rec it to people. the different kinds of imaging techs (xr, mri, ct) also pay decent and allow for shift work, but are a bit less versatile than nursing.
>>41899999How hard is it to become an RN? I'm in Massachusetts and it's 2 years or well 18 months to become an LPN.
>>41900053I did what's called an ADN (Associates degree of nursing) which was 3-5 college classes of pre-requisites and then you take this test and apply to the program, which then lasts two years. It was through a community college in my state. I would assume in MA there is a similar way to get in through community college, the programs can be competitive though. It's the same license all over (NCLEX-RN) so it should be similar there? Either way being an lpn isn't horrible pay and it's closer to being an RN than not being an LPN at all if that's your career goal. There's a lot of doom and gloom but desu the job is immune to all the dumb AI fear-mongering. Plus lots of places have nice shift options, like I work a weekend option where I work only Friday/Saturday and get paid for 36/hrs to work 24/hr. So I make fulltime money and work two days a week.
>>41893578Nursing is for psychos you'll fit right in
>>41898402I’m a boymoding EMT. i work IFT and it’s generally fine, get misgendered a lot by older folks.
>>41899999i wish my nurse was a trans girl
>>41902063date me then
>>41897840the first job is the hardest. whats your discord?
>>41893578I would go for a higher end career than nursing due to AI. Go for something niche or with a high floor.
>>41893578I am a hydrographic surveyor. I just sit on a boat and control a little submarine fella who scans the ocean floor.I don't really interact with anyone other than my boss. Its quite comfy tbdesu, but it gets quite cold in the winter
>>41905131that sounds nice but do you ever worry you may get lost in sea?
>>41893630Trans nurses do not make it. You have to akcnowledge biology. You also have to be intelligent enough to pass NCLEX in US. Trans can't do that either. If they had that level of intellect, they wouldn't have fallen for the meme in the first place.-gay guy mwah
>>41906706>-gay guy mwahyou are in the same boat as us mr gay. if we fall you will fall
>>41893578im a cop. It's nice because once you are a cop the other cops don't care that you are trans because you are a cop first and foremost. Also you get a gun for free. pay is very high too>>41906695I think being in a boat is safer than a car.
>>41906706terfs and rest of transphobes don't belong in medical field for being denial about human nature and biological conditions. And not wanting give gender affirming care, which will only cause harm and death. It should be all of you transphobes made dysphoric taking away things you value about your own body.>PNKYS
I used to be an artist, but AI nuked my income. Fuck if I know what I'm gonna do now, I'm too autistic for normie careers and wouldn't be able to afford college anyway
>>41908617cost like 1000 to become a CNA or like 1500 to become a Phlebotomist do that from there get a job with a career bridge into something higher up on the medical ladder
