I just can't figure this out. Please send links to where I can buy needles and syringes for IM injections that are safe. I already bought an EV vial from AstroVials but finding good syringes online is harder for me for some reason.
https://tigermedical.com/products/1cc-zero-dead-space-tuberculin-syringe-w-permanently-attached-needle-exe26046-1-ooLena recommended these and they have worked for me for years.....currently out of stock but seems like there will be more in January. they have other options, though..i have just never tried them.
>>41902580Isn't that needle a little short for IM? Idk about you but my thigh is thick.
>>41902621Doesn't really matter if it goes into the fat instead of the muscle, subq and IM have the same absorption rate. You can also just use insulin needles.
>>41902717Which ones do you use?
>>41902559Not sure if you're in the UK, but if anyone is then I use exchange supplies
>>41902559drugsupplystore has options from all the major brands, i prefer bd needles and syringes personally
>>41903257I guess I should've mentioned I live in Spain.
>>41903288Unfortunately they don't ship outside of the USA.
>>41903257Are they not restricted? I'd have thought the government would want to stop junkies using them.
>>41902559just order insulin ones and do subq
>>41903558No, I think they're a harm reduction service. Their aim is to stop junkies from reusing needles. Depending on your postcode, they'll even deliver needles to you for free; I got mine free
>>41903939Do I just inject it on my belly like diabetic people do? Is there any difference between subq and im?
>>41902559Just put it in ur butt
>>41904347The insulin needles?
>>41902559Somehow I'm even more confused now. I don't know what I should buy or where.
>>41905536Istg I'm gonna go to a pharmacy and tell them I'm a junkie if they ask at this point. It's easier to explain.
>>41902559i use similar to below for IM glute injections. get from any medical supply store with real brands so you're getting sterile, individually wrapped needles.syringes:https://www.glassvials.com.au/needles-and-syringes/793-1ml-luer-slip-bd-syringes.htmlneedles for drawing: (thicker gauge is not super necessary, you could just use the same needle type for drawing and injecting)https://www.glassvials.com.au/hypodermic-needles/310-22g-x-1-12-07mm-x-38mm-black-terumo-hypodermic-needles-6923033401399.htmlneedles for injecting: (thinner, longer for getting to the glute muscle)https://www.glassvials.com.au/hypodermic-needles/258-25g-x-1-12-05mm-x-38mm-thin-wall-orange-bd-hypodermic-needles.html
>>41903315I live in Spain too. You can just go to a pharmacy and ask for insulin needles, that's what I've been doing for years, they don't ask anything nor do you need to show your healthcare card for a prescription or anything.
>>41905901Where do you inject?
>>41905901They give 10 packs that look like this
>>41905947Subcutaneous, upper leg or abdomen
>>41905983So I can just inject it in my belly? That's how I've seen people inject insulin.
>>41905995Yeah, pretty much. https://pghrt.diy/#S5 this site has tips on injections and other resources
>>41905983Also do I have to inject it in a specific angle? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions. I just wanna make sure I'm doing it right.
>>41906003Thank you! That's very useful.
>>41906013>>41906026A 45° angle or thereabouts but it's not like precise or anything. Mostly matters for pain reduction. You're welcome, I hope it helps. And seriously, I've gone to a couple pharmacies and none of them have given me any issues or raised eyebrows (though I live in Galicia, not sure if other places have different regulations about it, but I doubt it). Sometimes they don't have those specific needles on stock but they might have others or I just go to another store. They're cheap too (single use obviously).
