What makes autistic people turn gay and/or transgender and why are they so invisibilized in mainstream queer spaces? I swear mainstream faggots act like catty bitches when in reality half of their community is autistic guys with a japanese hyperfixation.Does autism turn you queer? Does queerness turn you autistic?
>>41902866>Invisible in mainstream queer spaces wat
>>41902885Yes. Twitter, here and Reddit are not mainstream. It's a niche within a niche. But also I am talking from a third world country so idk maybe people here are way more normie than in Yurop and North America.
>>41902866i think autism makes you more likely to realize you're queer or trans since autistic people tend to do more introspection and internalize less social pressures
>>41902956I think its the other way around that feeling uncomfortable in your own skin causes you to act weirder and this manifests as perceived autism
>>41902866Dont know, dont care, if you call me q*eer again i will climb through your monitor and beat you to death with it
>>41902977What word do you prefer for including all kinds of faggots and trannies?
>>41902956>>41902969I have read that the lack of identifying self is also a motivator for developing people with ASD to form different sexual/romantic interests
>>41903126What's "identifying self"?
>>41902914I agree, once I started using instagram I understood why my parents were so weirded out by me being trans. The stereotype of transwomen is still the hsts stacy
HV>>41903189I think they're referring to alexithymia
>>41902866>higher lgbt rateAutistics are just less likely to repress. They observe the attraction or the gender compulsion in themselves and just accept that as the way it isNeurotypicals are on all sorts of levels of esoteric cope and repression about their sexual fluidity (especially men) because of the social cost>invisibilized in mainstream Imo it's mostly jusy autistic people avoiding socializing because it's painful which means less visibility, natural effect of that
>>41902866>What makes autistic people turn gay and/or transgenderThe thing that makes a brain autistic also makes it lgbt a lot of the time. Everyone fixates on autism but adhd is even more common>and why are they so invisibilizedBecause autism is invisible. Something about it makes the way we communicate fade into the background. It's a struggle for a neurotypical to remember we exist when we aren't within line of sight. I've been trying to figure out how to study this but it's hard to run tests on unwilling participants without them realizing something's going on
