I’m so sick of acquiescing and pitifully cooperating with people who don’t understand or accept me just to get by. I hate how I can never really express how hurt I’ve been by others stubborn ignorance. I don’t want to quietly forgive people who will never apologize, I instead want to demand that apology. I want to someday be in the position in which I can choose whether or not I accept someone, and it would be on the grounds of whether or not they have pleaded forgiveness.I just hate how my existence is contingent upon stupid people that don’t care in the slightest, no matter how much it effects me

>>41905120I know this is going to sound trite but please keep in mind this is coming from somebody that has mostly recovered from chronic anger issues.Being angry at people is like holding a hot rock, you are the one who gets burned. At some point you have to realize that you are bringing all these painful past moments into the present, and you are the one getting hurt by it. The other party might be 100% at fault. You might be completely wronged by the situation. Doesn't matter if you are hurting yourself with whatever happened now. Forgive but don't forget what people have done. You don't have to be okay with it, but if you want to be free of it you do have to decide to stop being angry at them about it.
